okay this old mama is going to try to win the camera video since I purchase a ticket and was unable to attend…probably won’t know how to work it though..I’ll get some teenage to help me…

voted this morning to request HMW but instead heard Cook’s song…so soon…wow nice push wish Blake has had support..oh well ..we’ll work with what we have and hope…the Blarmy team is doing a nice job in promotion though

isn’t his birthday coming up? too bad a birthday card couldn’t be sent with all of his fans…how cool a supersized one..technically wouldn’t know how to do it but wish everyone would buy one cd for his birthday..trying to get him to that gold….I know he’ll do well with producing etc but it still would be nice to have a gold cd

keep requesting on xm ps the two summer college help we have here play aol.com for music and they said Blake’s 2 songs BA and HMW are played quited regularly…sure enough, I did hear HMW through aol being played…so someone is hearing his songs…

How Many Words is 18 spots IN FRONT of No Air on the Hot Dance Club Play listing, which is pretty funny when really neither of them come across as dance songs to me. But anyway, still good news, though.

I wonder who determines what gets played in the clubs and eventually ends up in the Hot Dance Club Play charts. Do you think the DJs have control over this? (unlike radio play).

Yes, the DJ’s in clubs have much more control over what they play than the radio, especially if they one of the more famous DJ’s in a particular area or nationwide. It’s more of an independent business the higher up you go in that job.

It has been some time since Canal Room concert but this is a very nice quality video of fragments of songs from Canal Room. I think you might enjoy it. Good close up of Blake.

Hey Everyone–

Do you all know a Devaasre from Singapore who may have signed Blake’s card? They signed over someone by mistake!! (When you sign Blake’s card, if there isn’t room on that page, you have to press the right arrow key.) If you know who this person is, can you ask them to edit it? The message (what I can tell of it) reads:

(I don’t think it’s VeeKay since she signed elsewhere).

well… im on vacation and me and 2 friends went to the waterpark for the day. In the park they have speakers throughout the place with a radio station playing. we were floating in the lazy river and i hear 1,000 miles. im lucky that i didnt drowned. but i certinly caused a scene. heh :) im not sure what radio station it was though… and later that night we went down to the dance they have evry weekend on friday and saturday. i went up and requested how many words because he played it before. but he said he didnt have it?? so saturday night i brought a copy of A.D.D with me :D and asked him to play it. he did andni also let him keep it :D
hope everyone’s having a great summer. and happy birthday to haley today :)

Alright Theresa!! :-D I love hearing these ADD stories, of where we are getting these played! (I like how you were proactive too, in bringing your own copy!)

Well done, btw Nora–loved the YouTube you made! I am so awed by you folks that can do this stuff.

I have a small ADD story of my own to share. When the Train began one of the people I thought to send one to was my teenaged neice, who I thought WTH? She is pretty well-connected. I got to ask her if she listened to/liked the album this week. She said her friend wanted to listen to it, and she hadn’t gotten it back. heh. So, this middle aged auntie test-pressed it for her, while she was a captive audience. FWIW I never had an aunt who would have shared anything other than polka music, but I digress! I played it and in typical teen response she was all trying not to be impressed. By the time we got towards the end of the record, I was on the PC and hit upon the idea to look at Blake’s photos saved…and somewhere around EOTW, she was like, “Hey he’s Cute! Who is that?” heh.

So, she ended up hearing some of the other songs too, impressed by our iTune collection. Who knows? Maybe when she gets home, she’ll want to try it on her own.

PS. Meant mention it yesterday, but Jordin is featured on the cover of the tiny magazine JET. The article on her is very nice, and she speaks of how lack of sleep, singing, and extra talking has played havoc with her voice. I guess I didn;t really realize how even talking can tax their throat…makes what the Idols do in M&G all the nicer, you know?

It’s a sweet article, def worth the reading if you see it.

The producer from Real Magic TV left a response to someone’s comment on youtube video. There will be more videos from Canal Room from Real Magic TV and, very interestingly, there was a backstage magic with Blake. That sounds so exciting and something that Blake would most likely love to do. Anyone would want to guess what magic?

Seriously tho–I wonder if realmagictv has been pleasantly surprised at the buzz that they have created, where Blake is concerned? They seem very interested, and promoting in their way. (I hope they fixed their YouTube of Blake backstage with ABM.)

In other music trivia- EmilyRichett of the FoxTV affiliate was out in Seattle this past week, and said she got to hear some “noise.” I am curious as to what she will report on, if anything. She has been awfully nice to us Blake fans.

According to Ken Barnes from USA Today, Blake sold 300 albums this last week. I guess the Idol tour promo isn’t helping much *sigh*. Seems like sales are all about radio play….but I guess we pretty much knew that.

Hey Kasia! Speaking of good laugh? I was at the store, perusing the aisle of greeting cards, trying to find a good one for Blake. I found this one and it made me laugh like crazy! :-D So there I am, hooting with laughter in the store, and I hand it to the kids to read.

They read it with this stone face, deadpan. They roll their eyes.
So, I snatch it back, read it again– and burst into fresh gales of laughter!LOL! Hysterical!

Maybe it’s just my sense of humor, but any card that would make me that happy deserves to get sent you know?:-) hee!

EOTW - I find it interesting the Blake’s CD costs $14.99 on Amazon whereas Jordin’s CD costs $11.98 price point??? plus Jordin offers singles ..where is 19E on this marketing stragtegy??

and AGAIN…no radio play…beyond the AI crowd, who is hearing his music? therefore, 300 CD in sales is quite good.. any single downloads??

There is a DJ in my area (Southern California) on radio station 104.3 named Valentine (Valentine in the Morning is his show). I don’t know if that is the one the poster is talking about. I didn’t see anything about Blake on their website.

Thanks music4me. I was able to read it. Good article that gives a little more insight about the pressure Blake was on with the record label. It was somewhat new to me to hear that he lost his voice during Hollywood week and about Bjork’ cover.

I would love to see the interior decoration of the rooms. The colors sound really interesting.

Howdy Kasia, Bully, End of the world…. All of you, I enjoy reading your posts. You find out more about my son than I do… Some of it is not true, but I must say the you do a good job in finding information and you are my source for all things Blake.

He will be at the Jet next Friday for his birthday bash… It will be the first B show I’ve seen since Christmas… Live I mean. I can’t afford to fly around the country like some of his fans do. But then I do get to have breakfast with him once in a while.

I am itching to see a real concert tour get underway. I will be to the first of those, whereever it is.

Also, I like the post about HMW being 11 on the dance chart. Can you imagine when it hits #1? Maybe Arista will wish that they’d put a little more support behind ADD. Oh well, I don’t think ADD has been found out about yet.

Well, as I said, work is taking all my time now as summer is our busy time. So, Just know that if I don’t write, I do read atleast everyother day.
Hugs to you all. Blake and I know how important and wonderful his fans have been and just keep hanging in there. I have heard snippets of his latest works and its really good. tease
