I looked up the Canal Room show and now it is listed with Brianna Taylor? Does that mean they are both performing that night? Or together?

Brianna Taylor is the opening act. That’s at least what it seems like! Or they could be co-headlining, meaning that they’ll each play the same amount of time… but I’m ASSUMING and hoping that she’s just the opener.

Blake said on his MySpace in the show description that it will be a one hour solo loop based show. I’m expecting the new ADD stuff mixed with old (LOVE IT), i.e. Emotional Waterfalls, SLTW, etc.
Hey guys! I finally have my normal username back!! And guess what?? Today I got my music for marching band, and one of the songs we are playing is YGLABN, and as soon as I saw it, I thought of Blake!!

Ugh, Blake’s actually playing a club show in my city, and I’m probably not going to make it. Well, then I’ll live vicariously through Bshorty, greeneyes, and the others from Team Plaid who go. That’s great y’all are going.
Thanks to all who posted the KFest vids - Blake really is best at performing live. I wonder why he didn’t do his looping stuff?
On another note, I wish that the itunes downloads started in Blake’s year - though he is a live musician, I thought all his recorded AI tunes sounded great, esp. Love Song and Time of the Season. I wonder if he would have surpassed DAvid Cook’s almost million downloads.

Blake really is best at performing live.

Blake sent a bulletin about this upcoming show in New York. He reiterated that it will be one hour intimate show with his loop pedals, keyboard, and guitar. I am expecting an awesome live show. If I get pictures from the show or videos, Team Plaid site will be the fist place to share.
His live appearences such as K-Fest and the canal room are a perfect oppurtunity for us to all get someone new on the ADD train. If you’re going to the NYC show, bring a new copy of ADD with you and give it to someone (with a flyer.) This is a great thing we can do to get the record out more.
Oh Kilroy! You won;t be able to make the venue?? I heard it is supposed to be really great there to, for an intimate setting!
Okay, the BLArmy sent out a Bulletin on MS, and linked us to CindyLooHoo’s report of KFest. I am trying very hard not to be jellus! I am SO glad she had pics, and shared with us how great it all was. Blake sounded really sweet, too.:-) Lucky girl.(I flailed a little bit at the calling her on her cell, part. I’ll admit it!)
A list of the dates thus far is there, and they are asking fans who want to help to join in. greeneyes? This could be a great opportunity for you!
PS. I watched one of my DVR’d shows from last week, and on “Workout”, one of the trainers had a gig at a venue mentioned at Blake’s by a fan– The Whiskeyagogo. I agree with what the fangirl said– that place would be perfect for him to play! Small, but good sound, and cachet too. :-)

He did! I chatted w/ Cindy that night and she was over the moon. I’m so glad that the BLArmy set up the whole thing for her! Now if we could just get him somewhere other than NY! Blake is very appreciative of the work his fans are doing for him and has no problem letting us know all about it :D
I have to wait a few more days to see if my schedule is open BUT if so, I plan to be there this should be a wonderful setting to see his up close and personal.. better than the Kfest since the setting is more intimate..imagine a WHOLE HOUR….greenseyes will need smelling salts!
Yes I know what you mean…although I am lucky enough to be able to go the NYC this time around!!! I think I’m flying out of Indianapolis but we haven’t quite got that set in stone yet?

I was purchasing my ticket for the canal room and while doing that it said you had to be 21 or over to attend that event? I thought it was changed to all ages? I’m 23 so I’m obviously able to still go but I was confused aswell. Does anyone know anything about this?

-Because they want to get his record out earlier (this fall,) instead of previous debuts that were realeased in early december.
SO much word. I thought the same thing when I read it. Why are they all-over S7 like they are? Whiplash from S6 disdain? Don’t get me wrong, I’m GLAD that babyDavid and even D Cook didn;t have to wait for an announcement like we did (which was nervewracking for those who loved Blake) but gosh…they seem very eager to capitalize on the OMG and rivalry of S7.
If you think of it tho, Blake and Jordin were just as diverse as Cook and babyDavid, you know? Hmm. Lessons learned by TPTB, or a different tack?
Blake had a horrid schedule trying to get the CD out by Dec. I think if they put them out earlier, they may just knock Cook & Archie out! (pun intended). I feel for them unless they’ve lightened the tour & promo schedules - which I doubt.
Loved all the pics, recaps, vids from Kfest. I would have loved to have been there! Blake sounded awesome!
I have a great idea. This will help launch ADD back into the spotlight instantly. We should have BLarmy sponsored blake concerts in which blake would not profit, but the money would go to the BLarmy. All the proceeds would go towards purchasing ADD on a massive scale (as well as additional funding for the BLarmy), and getting it out to the masses much quicker. If we sell 2,000 tickets for 20 bucks each, thats FOURTY-THOUSAND dollars right there for Audio Day Dream. The venues would be outdoors on a big field (like kfest was.) We would just need to get permits for it. This would be tremendous if we made this happened. What do you all think of this idea???

OK, I’m sort of feaking out here. According to the blurb, he has a new single coming out? Am I reading that right??????
It does appear that KMN will be the new single. On wikipedia, its already listed as an upcoming single on Blake’s Singles list. What does hyper psyche mean? If this single is released, it’ll probably have a bigher chance of becoming big because lupe is on it. This song could be a smash, and that would mean that millions and millions of people in the US will hear this brilliant track from ADD.

Thanks EOTW for the video. That was a good thing to start my day. I always like the interviews when they identify Blake as a singer or anartist.
Blake is unstoppable. A new track with BT, Roots for the AIDS charity, with Kevin. Working on a new album? That sounds like a lot of things coming out.
I SOOOO hope the single with Lupe is for real - keeping everything crossed! I think this one could break through. Because of Lupe, because of the more upbeat mood of the song, etc, etc.

I hope that it is true too. I never dreamed we would get another single. I also like the idea of Kevin and Blake working together. They mesh well with each other, are great friends and room together, so great things can happen. I also love when they do the “Drum battling” live in the concerts. The audience also really seems to love it!

Kasia, Thanks for the vid! That is so cool. I think ADD is very danceable. A woman I work with who goes to Jazzercize says they do a routine to one of Blake’s song - she couldn’t remember which one.
I listen to ADD everytime I go for a walk - I think it’s great to walk to too! I think some of the songs would be great for pro. dancers and EOTW would be so perfect in many different movies (as you can tell from all the Youtube vids). Hope it happens!

The vid you linked let me find this one, from a CBS interview, which I’d never seen before. He talks about the “pesky gay rumors” (a year later?), and it’s just so great how he’s all, Whatever. He is very cool. Times like that, I’m proud to be on his chuckwagon.

OMG– I thought the same thing. WHY name her like that?? How embarrassing for her, and him too. It’s one thing for them to say, Yeah it was written after an ex-girlfriend of mine, and then another to call her out like that. :-/ Very unprofessional, IMO. (Blake looked surprised at it, too.)
Blake’s been pretty forthcoming with sharing how the song came to being, but I think what is the real point of the song is, we all have been there in a relationship that was toxic to us yet had a hard time leaving. Even if it was just a friendship, we all have had that moment of, I’ve got to go. Concentrating more on the human elements of why a song speaks to us is maybe a better tack to take. Anything else makes it mudslinging, gives her a black eye.
