It’s nice when family and friends say something nice about Blake, isn’t it?? Last night, I questioned my one sibling asking her how she liked the album. So far,after only a listen or two, she likes BA, 1,000Miles and EOTW. :-) She said she liked the last two in particular! yay!
Waiting on more feedback from other sources, but so far my Train is moving pretty well!
My mom still looks at me a bit oddly when the topic of Blake comes up, but one of these days I’ll find something she’ll enjoy of his.

Still here, just haven’t had time to post lately. Still trying to get the word out on how great a CD ADD is. Most people really enjoy it when they listen to it.
How can you not?!!

Yes, I will be singing. But I’m not sure if I’ll be playing the piano/keyboard yet :P

Well, this is a competition organized by a local magazine over here. It used to be just a singing competition, but this year they’ve opened it to just about any talent at all. According to the winner from the previous year, you stand to win a cash prize of $3000, a 3 year contract and get to record a single.

The other three still have the CD’s and like it, but haven’t moved to the next step yet. I’m not being pushy just inquisitive so these people are on their own once I give them the CD.

So, I’m 7 for 7 with people liking it so far. My daughter is buying two on her own today so she can join the train. She’s using her own money for this. She has B’s vids on her Ipod and two of her friends have shown some interest in his music. These two have never watched AI and think it’s a dumb show so they are just now getting their first taste of him.

I believe so! Lots of cute Blake pictures. I especially liked #79, where the two girls are kissing his cheeks. The look on his face is so cute. There seemed to be a lot of Blake fans there. Loved the homemade sign and T-shirt.

Exactly! His record company isn’t doing much to get him out there, so there’s gonna be a ton of people who haven’t heard his music and our job is to get the music out to people. Awesome Job.

That really is lovely. Thanks for putting that up on YouTube, Big D. I remember you promised us that a long time ago - and you didn’t forget. BTW, I have a soft spot for Gordon Lightfoot myself.

I’m so envious to see that musical talent, and how it is genetically passed on. I tried several times to learn how to play guitar, but always gave up, unable to get it. I think the inability to learn that is genetic too, lol. Mom told me how when she was a kid she once ran away from home was to this place that a lot of country music people came to hang out. One of them was Merle Travis, and he tried to teach her to play guitar, but she just couldn’t get it. Someone else was watching them and picked up the guitar to play after learning from watching her “lessons.” Ironic, and frustrating for her.

I have some family members with musical ability and I wasn’t that bad at guitar-piano, but I was too lazy to read music so gave it up, lol. I guess I was more into the other arts like drawing, creative writing, and so on.

But, I always wished I could sing, and I’m just not that great a singer. :P I’m not like of those “worst Idol singer reject ever” auditions but I’m certainly not all that talented in that regard.

I agree. They make you want dance. Just downloaded them and will relisten on my way to work to pick my favorites.

Same here Nic - I’m more into drawing, painting, crafts, etc. It makes me sad that I never had musical skills. Unlike you, I’d make the worst Idol auditions, for sure. That’s why I only sing when no one else is around, lol. I’m surprised the dogs don’t howl in misery when I sing in the house.

All the emotion of art, without the talent. It sucks. ah well!

Change of subject, on Idol tonight, poor Syesha–she was thrown under the train tonight by having to perform that Penguin movie song–just as bad as Blake having to sing This is My Now as it was written last year at the finale.

So, speaking of musical ability… I’m at work now (a State Park Lodge) and some guys are hear doing Bluegrass music. I’m not a big fan of Bluegrass, but live music is always different. We have guitars, mandolins, fiddles, bass, and singing. Very nice and what a great change for work. I can’t help but wonder if we could get a Bluegrass remix of “How Many Words,” LOL! I actually think it would be quite beautiful. They are here every week…hmmm….
