Hello everyone,
A lot of questions keep coming up if this is my page or not. It is!! I just got back online from not having control of my page because of American Idol contest rules and now its up and running.
As of now, I’m am in rehersals for the A.I. tour and things are running smoothly. Got a lot of special things happening on the tour this year and I’m really excited for it to start. On top of tour, I have been in meetings with producers and writers for my album, which is set to come out sometime by Thanks Giving to Christmas. I can’t thank you enough for all the responses and support that has come from this amazing journey. I’ve been working hard for the last seven years on writing and performing and American Idol has been the best platform for me to reach out and communicate my art thus far. Thank you again for reaching back.
Very soon I’ll be putting up some music, pictures and art I have been working on.

Most of you have probably already seen the link in the comments and read the article, but I thought it deserved a front page mention for people who may not read comments. Two thumbs up to the author of this article!!
Hey I wan to ask you guys something since I only started watching AI last year and never really paid attention to internet stuff, but there’s a conversation on Idolforums talking about why annoucements haven’t been made for record deals. Blake having “major” as a label type and saying hes been in talks with producers was as noted as proof he has a deal but someone said Jared Cotter also has on his MS page he has a major label and that Elliott and Ace also said at this time last year they were also in talks with producers and writers. What do y’all think about this? Is this true? Is it possible he doesnt actually have a deal?

I’m an Ace fan (and so is pj!) so I was keeping up with him pretty regularly this time last year, and I don’t remember him ever saying anything about being in talks with writers and producers so soon. pj, do you? There were some rumors that he might sign with RCA, but that never came to pass. Ace didn’t sign with 19, and neither did Elliott. They both talked pretty often of the date they’d be free of the 19 contract, in fact. The early Elliott rumors were of him signing with The Firm for management, if I’m remembering correctly. As for Jared’s MySpace, I dunno…wishful thinking maybe?
We’ve heard Blake say that 19 picked up his management option, and that he expects his album to be out sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas. That is totally 19’s m.o. In the new interview I just posted, he said he’s already recording. I don’t think his contract would allow him to do that unless he’s with a Sony/BMG label, but someone correct me if I’m wrong. I don’t know what the hold-up is with the announcements, but hopefully we’ll hear something this week.
All I remember from this time last year is that Ace was working on some songs with his friend Elvio, but nothing about being in talks with writers and producers. I also remember the RCA rumor… I think it came from TMZ. And yes, both Ace and Elliott would talk about the end of the tour as the time when they would be free of their AI obligations.

Nice…thanks for finding it, Fiona. $30 is a bit much for a t-shirt in my book, tho. Perhaps if it was a shirt from Blake’s closet, not just from the store shelf, it would be worth it. I have my Blaker Girls shirt, tho…so I’m set, at least as far as the concert goes! :-)
