One of the many things we’ve come to love about Blake Lewis is his unique fashion sense. How’d you like the gray blazer he sported this past Tuesday while crooning “Imagine”? According to Idol’s head stylist, Miles Siggins, it’s a celebrity hand-me-down…
We found Blake’s jacket at this great designer resale store here called Decades 2, which has clothes dropped off by all kinds of people, many of them household names…and this was no exception. The jacket was one of Robbie Williams’ castoffs. If you don’t know him, he wrote “Angels,” the song that Jessica Simpson murdered - sorry, Jessica - but if you hear Robbie’s version, you’ll understand!
Kind of fitting considering the Britpop vibe Blake often brings to his performances, no?
One other note from Miles about Blake’s inspirational night ensemble…
We also got him in to jeans for the first time this season, and for I have to thank Sara at Stich’s for that. He liked them because they don’t feel like jeans - they’re that comfortable!
Oh no! I hope this doesn’t mean we’ll never see Blake in his trademark plaid pants again!

Hey star:
Thanks for the update on this. I loved that jacket by the way, Blake looked really good that night, well he always does.
Love Love his fashion style…He should definitely have his own clothing line. Heh.
By the way, don’t worry much about Blake leaving the plaid pants, I just saw some new pics of him shopping around with Kristi looking for new plaid for his collection.
Maybe he will wear a rock t-shirt with some rocking plaid pants this Tuesday! In any case he always looks HOT. Can’t wait. I hope he spikes his hair way up too, it will go with the rock theme.
Star - love the title :)
Cool that he’s wearing Robbie’s jacket. That’s interesting.
I love his style. My husband just can’t seem to let go of the fact that Blake makes his own pants. He thinks that it’s just the funniest thing he’s ever heard. I really *need* to know more about this, tho! Like, does he go to JoAnn & sit down at the pattern books counter with the little old ladies & housewives, and go thumbing through the pattern drawers for his patterns?
Oh! Sometimes the stars align (ok… descriptions on the tv guide channel aligh) and you get something like this:

jenlar!!
I actually didn’t like that jacket at all. Heh. But if it was a Robbie Williams castoff, I guess that’s cool. The purple shirt was the best part of the outfit to me. :)
ETA: Grrrrr @ the work computer for not letting me view photobucket pics. :)
Jenlar, I love the screen cap. Too freaking funny!
