It’s been a while since I’ve posted. I hope you will forgive my absence as I present you these two wickedly awesome videos. The first is a fantastic remix of some Blake moments on Idol. The second is a little mockumentary of Blake Lewis (done by somebody who did another great one for Sanjaya). It’s videos like these that make me realize Blake is one of the relatively few “stars” of this season, along with Sanjaya (even if it is to be mocked - I love it).

Hey guys I was just on the IDF and I found a new Blake song. Well at least its new to me. I love it. I think it represents the electrofunk dance music he keeps talking about. I was worried at first, but this sounds great.

Every time I see YGLABN I’m drawn to the fact that he deliberately shows the cool blue lining of his jacket more than once. He does this in a few more performances, too, but I don’t remember which one. It seems like if the jacket’s got a good lining he’s going to deliberately flip it open a bit and we’re not supposed to notice! I love it, tho.
LB2, I loved the mocumentary one. What was it that Taylor tried to say last year? Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery or something like that! Heh.
I updated Blake’s appearances with a couple of new ones. I couldn’t confirm them, so I just put “rumored.”
pj- Tivo confirms Blake on Mike & Juliet but TRL (as usual) just has a canned, generic description. The View doesn’t mention him but I’m recording anyway.
Mike & Juliet overlaps with Today, but since he’s confirmed on M&J, I’m recording Today only ’til 9, then switching to M&J. If he’s on Today after 9 it shouldn’t be hard to find the clip online.
At any rate, new computer! It’s so much faster, and I’ve already got the software installed. If everything behaves properly I’ll have the clips up later the same day that they air.
What format is best for y’all? Do you like the big, clear files that I can put on sendspace, or do you just want them on youtube? Either is fine, and I’ll probably do both, but do you have a preference?
Jenlar, youtube (or gofish) links work very very well, since we can put them up on the site. But if others want downloadable ones, that’s cool too.
I know he did that in “You Keep Me Hanging On” too, and I think even TOTS. I think that’s also one of his performing tics. I’ve noticed it a lot.

Thanks for the new vids! I love that first one, and I agree that Blake would probably find the 2nd one hilarious. :) Isn’t that the one that Kristi or whoever sent out on the Blaker Girls bulletin? If so, maybe he’s actually seen it.
So it’s Tuesday, and we have no Blake to look forward to tonight. At least he’s gonna be on tomorrow. :)

That parody was hilarious. At one point you can even hear the camermanan cracking up, and somehow that made it even funnier for me. “This ain’t no rental!” And a digeredoo! Sweet!

I had no idea that radio stations were playing Blake music. Which songs do they have? All of the studio versions?
pj, thanks for passing that info on. That people keep asking about number 1 just kills me. Number 4 is just awesome! Pretty soon we should be able to see plays on yes.com, and I think mediabase will have his chart positions. Hopefully there will be some. I’d have to ask some of my more astute SP friends for more info.
Technically, a radio station can play any song that has been “released” so in theory they could play any one of them. It’s the owners (e.g. Clear Channel) that limit the playlist.
Can you tell me which song you’re talking about. I can’t access jointsmith. I’d love some plaid headbands!
