Tonight’s episode of American Idol is Part 1 of the much-hyped Idol Gives Back special. Each vote you cast for your favorite finalist Blake Lewis during the 4 hour voting period (no, I didn’t stutter - they’ve DOUBLED the amount of voting time for this event) will result in Idol’s sponsors making a donation to Charity Projects Entertainment Fund, ”a new charitable organization established to raise money and awareness to benefit children and young people in extreme poverty in the United States and throughout the world, particularly in Africa.”
Tuesday’s performance episode was taped Monday evening, so spoilers are all over the place. If you want to know all the details, check out MJ’s Blog. Get ready to vote Team Plaid! This week, each contestant will get two voting lines instead of just one. Here are Blake’s digits, so you can go ahead and program them into your phone if you want to be prepared.

I haven’t been to mj’s since before work this morning, but those people that dislike Blake - I don’t get them. I mean if they don’t like him fine, but why all the posts about not liking him? I mean I don’t go over there and do 50 posts about how boring Melinda and Lakisha are to me, or how I can’t imagine how anyone could like them. What’s the point of that anyway?

I’m less worried tonight than I was last night, just because this type of performance could definitely come across better on TV than in person. And maybe the reason Randy was harsh was to rile up the fanbase? Because I imagine Simon is the one casual viewers listen to, but any of the judges being harsh will get the hardcore fans voting, especially after last weeks B3. And Blake’s song is the most memorable.

I couldn’t understand some parts of this article The Beatboxer, Save The World at Team Plaid, but I guess I just need to check some more resources regarding this, because it sounds interesting.
