DOES anyone know how to tune a guitar???? (HELP ME!!!)
I made a point to check in the CD section of one of the WalMarts I got mine from. ADD was nowhere to be found. It was not on the outside racks of current releases, tho Josh Groban’s current CD is there. It was not in the Pop/Rock section in the “L’s.” It was not in any displays anywhere. :o(
Bully - I was just looking for the cheap ski mask version. I thought I could get it in the Dollar Stores, but the clerks claimed they were illegal to sell because they are used by criminals to rob stores and such. Crazy. Shoot, guns and knives are used by criminals, but no one has outlawed them. But ski masks? IDK, if she knew what she was talking about, but what could I do? If they are illegal, then I give up! I’m sure they are out there somewhere, and sporting goods is my next stop or call.
Hey Crystal J– ski masks should still be available. Do you have a Farm and Fleet or farm store near you? Snowmobilers need that stuff.
I was just at our local Walmart. There were still only THREE that I saw. Both were in the middle aisle, next to the Eagles, and I moved one up front in an open space.
Someone SomeplaceElse once said that the amount of albums ordered in was on the front of the scanner tag. Mine had said Q21. The ones today said Q38. Damm computer ordering… maybe when the sales rep comes in, they’ll fix ‘em up with enough copies in a better display.
Bully - didn’t think of Farm Supply, but will check there too. Yeah, I don’t think that clerk knew what she was talking about.
I looked at every display at my WalMart. Didn’t see it at all. That was the one in Ohio. I’ll check the one in WV the next time I’m there. I wish we had a Target, but the nearest one is about an hour away. Same for Starbucks. :o(
Bully, does that mean there were two shipments totaling 59 CD’s deliver. Darn, I remember reading that somewhere about the tags. I wish I’d thought to check mine. Oh well, too late for that.
So I wonder if the Wal-Mart was sold out or just didn’t bother to stock Blake’s CD again? It worries me a bit that it’s no longer in “new releases” considering it’s been out less than a month. :(
I hope the New Year’s gig and late night talk shows help.

That means 38 CD’s were ordered for the second shipment. Most of the time a store will order more for the second shipment. If there weren’t many out on display chances are that’s what left of that shipment and are waiting for an additional order, or they could have put a partial amount and simply haven’t added more. It all depends on how on the ball the workers are.
I really hope there won’t be a panic now over it not being in the new releases. That’s not an indicator of placement in all stores. My Best Buy no longer has it in the new releases but yet my Circuit City and Target both still have it there, you can’t judge all stores.
I do but it would be complicated to explain how…its so much easier to show someone…Go to your local guitar center and you could prob get a cheep tuner that will do the job! That way you don’t have to ear it if your new at it?…

I bought a copy of A.D.D. today for my niece who is a Blake fan. At Wal-mart it was in the end cap of new releases still. I guess every store does it differently.
Yegads if anyone should worry. ;o) I’m only seeing bunnies hopping over rainbows. ;o)
Now that reminds me of a Cisco McCarthy short subject film called “Bunnies are Everywhere.” Teeheehee.

I’m only trying to say there shouldn’t be a panic because one store not having it there doesn’t mean it’s like that everywhere. Everyone is free to angst and worry as much as they want.
Well, I’m not in a panic in the least. I just know that having it in the “new releases” display will help people see his CD, that’s all. I’ll have to see where it is in my Wal-Mart when I go in this week.
I understand Lisa. I do think others have reported varying sightings at their local stores. If any store sold out, they’d be crazy not to order another shipment, just as they would with anything else that sold well/sold out.
As an interesting side note, one of the clerks told us that their one WalMart brings in $260K/day. That is astounding.
The first time I looked at my walmart. I never saw any Blake CDS the first week it was out and the clerk didnt even know it was out. The reason we had a severe storm and nothing could be delivered that week do to all road into town was closed.
Hmm, I was on YES and noticed one of the stations playing “Break Anotha” is a HAC station. Perhaps this is an encouraging sign. ;)
I have to agree with Lisa. Anecdotal evidence at the local stores doesn’t reflect the big picture.

I was getting ready to ask you if it was the “new” station and so I went back to the website and saw that it is indeed that station so, never mind. LOL
Anyone see the commercial for the New Year’s Eve special? It aired during America’s Most Wanted. I’m so glad that they show Blake in the commercial! He had about equal screentime as Jordin did, and was billed right after her (a clip from the cd promo commercial) so maybe some AI Blake fans who aren’t internet junkies will tune in to see him.

Hi Lisa– No panicking here, never fear.:-) I am however paying attention to my area goings-ons re ADD.
I hear stuff like “Hey as long as I have my album in-hand, I’m content,” and I do remember feeling that way in the past. *sigh* Somewhere after May things changed for me, that way. I just want him to do well, that’s all.
Have I mentioned how pretty the picture is Youngest made for me, of a cut-out Blake in a bindi-jewel snowstorm? It’s hanging right here in my pc area. Sparkly! (I’m lame, yeah)

I watched the LG Action thing this morning and….no Blake. :( He was on the Sauce End of the Year special, however- just a small snippet of his beatboxing and him wishing us all a happy holidays. I’m kinda disappointed about the LG thing…are they maybe playing different parts of the weekend at different times? Because today it was just the BMX competition, and I’m sure that’s not all they had going on that weekend.
I watched it too…did we see the wrong part of the finals today?
I did like the guy toward the end though who crashed on his new bike and climbed over the barricades to pass it off to a kid in the crowd…helmet and pads too! That was very Bshorty, I thought!

There were four different sessions that weekend in Dallas. One on Friday evening, two on Saturday (afternoon and evening), and another on Sunday afternoon. Each of these sessions were around 2.5 to 3 hours long, and consisted of at least two different contests (i.e. Inline Vert competition & BMX street competition). The first couple of sessions were pre-lims, which are probably shown on TV in their entirety, as well as snippets of them during “finals”. I’m pretty sure that they have edited it down so that the audience can either concentrate on one competition in about an hour or so, or combine the two competitions into a somewhat-easy-to-follow format in a longer time frame. They also had freestyle motocross demos at the end of every session before the musical act came on.
Here’s a list of the competitions that occurred during Blake’s session (that haven’t already aired) as they will be airing on SPIKE (maybe a better chance of catching a glimpse of him?):
Jan 4 @ 1:00am EST - BMX Street competition
Jan 13 @ 10:00am EST and Jan 18 @ 1:00am EST - Inline Vert competition
Jan 27 @ 10:00am EST and Feb 1 @ 1:00am EST - Best of the LGASC

I’m going to try to hold off on my concerns for the time being, just enjoy the boys tonight, and hope the airplay picks up after the New Year :). I’m listening to the CD quite often in the meantime, ha!
I have yet to hear anything of Blake on any radio station in my area (Washington DC). I’ve heard Tatoo plenty of times and I quickly change the station. As I said, I had to really look for BA in Best Buy. About 10 CDs were on the bottom shelf in the R&B section. Nothing in front under “New Releases.”
I couldn’t understand some parts of this article Charts - Week Ending 12/23/07 at Team Plaid, but I guess I just need to check some more resources regarding this, because it sounds interesting.
