Hellz ya he does..i usually (now, its used too) find plaid irritating, but he pulls it off and im in love with it.
fake teeth on halloween is acceptable, but for some reason, when he wears it i just think is just so adorkable.. i thnk anything he does, he pulls off..once his career really takes off, his going to be marketing GOLD!.. i think, business would want to get him to sponser theie products, cuz look at all the publicity he gives all the local bands in Seattle..

I really think that is a repeat. They are in Rochester right now. BUt anyways I don’t think he will be promoting anything on TV until his record comes out in Nov. (Well, that’s the date I am still hoping, heh.)
Yep. The Regis & Kelly performance is a repeat. I checked on that earlier.
Perhaps there was no “okay you go talk about your release date being on 11/20″ conversation. Perhaps it was simply discussed and not decided upon. Plus, any smart person in the music industry knows that if a cd is going to be released in the fall, the prime date to aim for is the Tuesday before Thanksgiving so they can get those Black Friday sales. That’s just good business.
I can’t tell you how many articles I read that have errors in them. Unfortunately, not every fact-checker does a thorough job in their research and mistakes are made all the time.
Also, just because he was “sure” in talking about a label does NOT mean that label is Arista. It could be, but I personally am not holding that tightly on to something that was said offhand by a reporter in an article that wasn’t even about Blake…
… As I am also not holding on to November 20 as a release date for EITHER of them, no matter how many times they say it. Daughtry and Kellie kept their original release dates last year because they worked their asses off on tour. I know Blake and Jordin have been working, but there hasn’t seemed to be as much urgency this time as there was last year for Chris and Kellie.
Taylor’s release date was pushed back at least twice, maybe three times, and Katharine’s was pushed back 4 or 5, maybe even 6. They were both originally scheduled to release on November 14. Those dates change all. the. time.
I’m so glad to hear you say that. There are some over there at TWOP who are convinced this guy is a credible source because he is supposedly linked to the industry. This is what I was told earlier by Donna All City:
I’m still skeptical about the J/Arista label and the signing until we hear something from Billboard, from Blake, or actually see the fine print.
Well, I tend to think that Blake might be with Arista. Yeah, reporters are often way off base and don’t fact check or don’t have editors who do. BUT, they also don’t make carp up usually. The fact that the article was about Jordin makes me give it more credibility. But who knows? The reporter might have taken a rumor as fact.
I’d bet more money on Arista than RCA at this point, although I don’t really care.
As for the timing, I think Blake recorded a lot more songs b/n the tour and the show than Daughtry. In fact, I know Kellie did too. I think it’s because Chris had a lot of songs to review and yes, he did work his butt off, but I can still see a November release for Blake IF production goes quickly.
I think Blake can get the record out before Thanksgiving. He already recorded more then half of the album already.
That doesn’t mean all those songs are going to make the album though, Melissa.
Last year, Chris Daughtry was said to be co-writing with a lot of different people, whose songs never ended up on the album (hello Rob Thomas, Ed Kowalcyzk, and Carl Bell!). Same with Taylor (the John Mayer collab, anyone?). I don’t think they just record 12 songs and say “okay, here’s the album”…
I think we all know it’s never that simple.

Well, after listening to Jordin’s single all I can say is I am happy Blake is getting creative control and doing his own thing.
Jordin is so much better than that song, but then again that’s JMHO. Maybe the song will be a hit. Who knows.
Sounds like all the other pop girls out there, Hillary Duff, Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan. Heh. Nothing unique. But only time will tell. I think it will be a Kat type of record. Not good.
Now I am more ready than ever for Blake’s music.

Ok. I just downloaded from sendspace and listened to it. I can’t see that being a top 40 hit. It kind of sounds cheesy in some ways like a lot of the AI debut singles do. JMO
Oh and another thing. Since some of us here along with the TWOP gang have now heard this song, this is out attitude about B’s deal and his music now.
We feel like more than ever that B truly knows what he’s doing even though we don’t know everything when it comes to contracts and label negotiations. Jive has truly got Jordin right where they want her now and I can truly say this song is not what people expected of her at all.

As I said on MJ’s, I think it will be a modest hit. It’s not distinctive enough to be a huge hit like “Umbrella” or “Beautiful Girls”, but it’s a million times better than anything on Katharine McPhee’s album, IMO. And she sings it well. She has a much better recording voice than Katharine.
It will go over well with her market. The tweens and young girls love her and this song sounds like it could go right onto a HSM or Hannah Montana soundtrack. They’ll eat it up. Outside of that, I dunno. But this was 100% the right direction for her to go in, for the short term.
Just listened to Jordins new song. It is okay. The first thing I thought of was Hillary Duff and that gang. Which at this stage of the game is a perfect fit for Jordin, she is only 17:) Is it a song that I would sing while driving in the car, no…but a lot of young girls will love it. I still don’t like Jordin’s lower register…something about it. I like Jordin best when she is belting out the big ballads. However, I’m not a big fan of the big ballads. Still I wish Jordin much success. Though if that is the way the majority of the CD sounds like I will not be buying it.
I did play it for my son, who is 12, this morning before he left for school. His exact words were “Yeah…no” I’m so giving away my age:)
