We’re shooting for November. But until the album is right and ready and we’re happy with it and feel like we’ve got something, it’s probably not going to be released.

That is definitely true Donna All City just basically said over @ TWOP this and it’s probably for the best anyways that Jordin releases first since she is the winner and that will all depend on if she is ready by that time and she said this also, if he can take advantage of Christmas sales, then awesome!:D

I know that as recently as last week, Blake told a fan that they’re aiming still aiming for Thanksgiving/November. I don’t think anything is definite at this point, other than the 4th quarter of 2007.

Also, we really don’t know how far into the recording process B actually is. We certainly don’t want a rushed album. B has enough sense to know that since he’s with Clive, time is $$$$.

I’m also going to put my mod hat on for a second here and ask people to please not discuss other boards (example: TWOP) here. It’s fine to bring links to articles, videos, pictures, and things like that you find elsewhere here, but I’d rather not see:

1) posters from other boards mentioned by name - it feels gossipy. (unless you’re giving them credit for their pics & vids - that’s fine!)

2) entire recaps from other sites copied & pasted here. I think a lot of people from TWOP/BLM read here and I feel that if they want to bring their own recaps here to share with us, they will.

Blake actually has been saying between Thanksgiving and Christmas all the way back from June If I remember correctly. In fact, he stopped saying 11/20 after the Salt Lake City show. It’s better not to give out actual dates IMO until you are closer to the completion of your record so this way the fans won’t be expecting one thing and being surprised when they don’t get what they’ve been told. Plus, you have to remember too that the press release along with Pure Tone Music did not give out specific “set in stone” dates. There is no way they want this to extend beyond December. Once everyone is sure or fairly certain of a date, Pure Tone will update the site and give us an approximate date.

However, I would believe something printed, in an interview that Blake gives himself before something from a fan on the internet said. JMO of course.

Everyone knows Black Friday is the biggest sure bet for good sales, but not everyone can have that date, its just impossible. Maybe they feel Jordin needs it more?

Hehe… I want both of them to do well, so if Jordin needs the extra bump in sales for the Thanksgiving rush then so be it. It seems like her album would be more of the “oh-yeah-my-tween-would-love-that” category than Blake’s would, and that people would specifically go out and buy Blake’s album. Either way, I’m disappointed at the possibility of an even later date.

I have to agree with that. That was my point. He stopped saying that date at least a month or so ago. It’s better to read the fine print than go by hearsay.

This interview was wonderful! SO good to hear his answers, and like in his own words! Awesome.

In particular I liked his response about the cities that are green, and are near water…I think he’s a little homesick, eh? Three and a half months really is a long time, to be traveling. *hearts*

One thing that stuck out from that interview was this part referring to how quickly the album has to be put together:

That’s the only thing that’s frustrating about it, that it has to be done so fast.

So, there is no doubt that B is being put into a time frame window for completion of his album as is Jordin for hers. There is no way that Jordin’s label will want to stall her release beyond this year because it will keep her out of the public eye for too long especially with her winning the title.

We just have to remember this headline from Pure Tone especially the last part of it:

“BLAKE LEWIS SIGNS TO 19/ARISTA. ALBUM DUE LATER THIS YEAR!”

There is no way they will let December slip through their fingers even if Blake can’t make November. It’s all about keeping his name in the spotlight and $$$$ as it is with Jordin. LOL

I think things are a little up in the air for whatever reason with the album release date. He’s being a lot more non-committal than before. And like I thought if there is a delay it will be the label/mgmt and not due to a lack of effort on Blake’s part. But I agree with Pam, I would be VERY surprised if it doesn’t make it out in time for the holidays, potential cash cow and all.

In the nearer future…single? maybe we can keep up this pattern of awesome friday press releases :D how bout it, 19?

Just wanted to pop in and say that I wrote 2 songs that he (Blake) just recorded for this record! I just got the versions of his and they sound amazing!!! Keep your fingers crossed that they make it, and you’ll hopefully be hearing them soon!

You know, after I “forced” myself to listen to Tattoo 20 times. I find it bearable and possibly listenable. and I think that maybe it will be a decent hit, not a mega hit, but played at least twice a day on the local top 40 stations. But for sure, Blakes single will blow out of the water. Not only because ill be obessive and call, email, and text my local radio station about 100 times a day to play it, but also because I believe its going to be really catchy and somthing different (maybe not completly different, but enough so), that people will get it stuck in their heads.

Im still gonna throw my tantrum if I dont get that album in November.

I kind of understand where you are coming from, but I kind of gave up on the 11/20 date since after all he mentioned this to a fan in conversation at the Anaheim show and plus, he stopped saying 11/20 after 7/31, which was the Salt Lake City date. I know that 11/20 would be perfect to get those black Friday sales, but I can’t see B and Jordin releasing on the same day although it really wouldn’t be a competition since their genres are so different. I think Jordin will release first unless she isn’t ready by that date and that is assuming that B would be ready by 11/20 and at this point, apparently it appears he may not be, but that could all change. LOL

They’re listing all these collaborators and producers but I thought BT was producing Blake’s album? Where’d he go? Or is he supervising the whole project?

I was thinking that he was producing one of the tracks, SLTW is my guess. Didn’t Blake say he would be seeing BT in DC in the interview that he did?

We’re going to try to meet him before time, in Atlanta. If we do, I’m going to ask about the album and see if I can get *anything* out of him about it. ld… yes, Duluth is the north Atlanta suburbs. They built a very nice arena, performing arts center, and convention center there a few years ago. It’s great because most of the big names come here now, since most of the people attending the shows live north of the city proper.

We drove by the arena yesterday, just to get an idea of what we would be dealing with during an early arrival. We have been to many shows there but I’ve never really paid attention to how the lot is layed out. It looks like you can walk all the way around the building, but about 99% of the parking is in front. I couldn’t see where the buses would park, either. I’m just showing up about 11am with two of the cutest little kids you ever did see and hoping for the best.

Oh… we are making t-shirts with the cool artwork from Blake’s blog. I’ll have Blake, Chris, and Phil on mine. GirlKid will have Jordan on the front and Sanjaya (lol) on the back. BoyKid will have Haley on the front and somebody else on the back but I can’t remember who.
