So, do we love myspace or what? Since we know some of Blake’s collaborators, and now know his band members, those who have added them as friends are getting fun bulletins and blogs from them as well. Below are a few that we’ve read today…

We have decided to cancel our performance in Olympia at the eastside. This is a long and strange story and its time to tell everyone whats been going on. As most of you know about a month ago Blake Lewis (now American idol fame) was in town working on his new album with Ryan Tedder at London Bridge studios. When he needed horns for his tack “Breakanotha” he called up TJ and I and asked if we could be to the studio in an hour on the spot mid day on a wed.
Needless to say we droped what we were doing and showed up at the studio. In a whirlwind we recorded our horn parts on what is now blakes new single. About 2 weeks ago the song dropped on the air! All of a sudden it was being played all over the US on thousands of stations! This week Blake is in LA with his band: Kevin Sawka, Jermey Lightfoot, Kent H., Ryan (Pistol star)
This is where shit gets weird for me: Last week I got a call from Blake while I was walking threw isles of excess at Costco. . Supprised to hear his voice he said “Hey, you & TJ want to come down to LA to be in the music video and do an appearance on Leno and maybe some other gigs?” Wow I was shocked. . and didn’t even really understand what he had just asked. It was like he was speaking in some foreign language about the kind of gig that no one actually ever gets to do. It wasn’t until Tj called and repeated it to me that I started to get really excited. But as with all things there’s a catch. Apparently in the magic world of Hollywood things that would take A Seattleite months to do happen overnight. And so goes the plane tickets and finalization of the plans. . We’ve been told to keep our schedules ultra flexible for the last week and a half. . and we just keep getting little bits of info. . “Its ON!” “Its OFF!” “Its on but no Jay lenno but now maybe opening for Kanye West!!” “Actually, never mind that, but its still on for the Video shoot Friday!!” “Call you tomorrow”
Bottom Line: Friday seems like it’s a GO to fly down and be on the video. It’s a little heart wrenching with all this back and forth mumbo jumbo especially because we had to make the decision to back out of a few gigs in order to be there including Olympia with Flowmotion this Friday. . But there you go.. . It’s a once in a lifetime kinda thing and we figure we got to strike hammer while the irons hot!

Los Angeles with Blake Lewis
we had the most magical day yesterday. first of all, we recorded at Jim Henson studios. That’s right the original lot where the muppets were made! We recorded the intro, outro, and transitions for the album and it was magical. I can’t wait to hear it mixed and mastered.
It’s incredible down here. we are very busy and getting a lot done. it’s an honor to be living this reality with these close friends. our first show is in Dallas on Saturday. there’s a lot to do by then, so I should head down to the lobby and meet up with the boys so we can get to the practice space.
I’ll keep you all posted when I know more.

Steph’s bulletin - I wonder if he means “She’s Gonna Give In” (what Blake’s singing in the clip) or something else he wrote that day? And wow, if they really do have a second single picked out already, I’m impressed. Way to think ahead!
Panda’s blog - as exciting as the news that Blake’s shooting a video is, I guess what stuck out to me the most is how awesome it is that Blake’s been able to make his friends a part of his project, and the power of this cheesy TV show. It really does change people’s lives!
Okay, video? I wanna know who’s directing it! If it’s Sophie Muller y’all will have to peel me off the floor. (I seriously doubt it will be though, so no worries
)
Kent’s blog - I wonder if Blake was able to get the DJs he wanted to come in and record interludes too?
One more piece of myspace gossip…I know not everyone here likes Jordin, and that’s fine, but you’ve gotta love the girl for this - her current status:

I saw that earlier tonight and I thought it was very sweet. It really seems that this year’s contestants have possibly made some long lasting friendships and it’s great to see them promoting each other’s projects!
Jordin is so sweet. That’s so nice of her to promote Blake on her website.
On another subject, I am so excited about this music video!
I know it will be HOT! Blake will be on it!
Only a very cool video can come out of a great single! Can’t wait to see it!
I almost passed out (gosh I so over react) to all of the amazing, exciting, and wonderful NEWS!! Thank You Tom for Myspace!. Agreed, it seems that this years AI’s are really close knit and it makes me go *awwwww*. Blake, since the beginning has always supported and has included his friends and musicians from Seattle every step of the way. And its so sweet thats he’s giving the opportunities that are presented to him and sharing it with them.
If the “I Love Blake-O-Meter” wasnt already about to explode, it is now.
MUSIC VIDEO? VIDEO? DID I JUST READ VIDEO! Lord! can my TV and computer handle so much hotness? I mean it almost crashed during the Two-er, but now………… I think I’m going to have to upgrade just for the event.
Not only does Blake make me procrastinate and distract me from things i should be doing, he sure does cost a lot. A new computer, tickets, buying 3 to 4 different versions of the same album, gear, geez what’s next. Oh who am I kidding Its all worth it baby!
Star you are so right. I heart all of them. You have CRich posting on his myspace to support Blake and Jordin. Gina has BA playing on her myspace. Phil while blogging about his record deal also manages to plug Blake’s upcoming album. Then if you read the comments on Blake’s and Jordin’s myspace; which by the way I always feel like a voyer when I do that, you will see Jordin’s comment on how much she loves BA and how proud she is of him and how much she loves him. Then swing over to Jordin’s and you will see Blake’s comment on how he ruvs her, and comments on the video. Not to mention the CRich is actually singing backup on B’s album. This whole group is priceless:)

I really, really love all this news. I can’t express how proud of Blake I am, and that includes him being able to get his friends in on the project. Talk about real life Entourage! :) He is a true, exceptionally down to earth artist and I can’t wait to hear this album! This next month is going to be a KILLER!

I just seen that this morning…it was quite funny! Did you see the one where Blake has like a drink or something on his chin…so cute haha! Cisco all of the pictures he takes of his self he has the same look on his face…I love it!
SERIOUSLY Butet! I think I am still paying off tix from the summer two-er when here comes rumors of a winter one :D But yeah, definitely worth it!
