And let the freaking begin..

The concert was great, y’all. The crowd was WILD and yes, the arena was pretty much full. I wouldn’t be surprised if this show was sold out. So the performers were way energetic and lots of fun. I stood for most of the show. MJ got some GREAT pics and at least SWBL/WOWY, YGLABN, and the Cake Medley on video. She took 3 memory cards full of pics and vids, so there’s some great stuff to come. :)

General observations: I am a Colts fan in the middle of a whole buncha Patriots fans. This does not bode well for me asking the scores of the games tomorrow. Heh. This town appears quaint upon first look, but if I get one more “hey honey” accompanied by a whistle, I’m gonna scream.

Oh, right. Idol. :) Sligh’s stage presence has really improved from the beginning of the tour. Blake’s dancing is even better than it was. I am still disturbed by Sanjaya’s pelvic thrusts. Jordin has gotten a lot better with interacting with the fans at the edge of the stage (touching their hands, etc). And Chris Rich is still as adorable as ever. /fangirl

Gina and Sligh’s “Thnks fr th Mmrs” was the best I’ve heard it. Jordin and Melinda continue to sound great together. Phil sang to his wife (who was sitting between the guardrail and stage) during “It’s Your Love”. I am consistently blown away by how good his voice really is. And his kids are so freaking cute. I laughed and laughed and laughed at the pointy poses. Embrace the cheese. That’s all I can say.

Lakisha did not come out for the encore, and I’m hearing she also wasn’t at the afterparty. I hope she’s okay. MJ and I did not get to go to the afterparty tonight. We’re hearing they ran out of passes.

I am bitter that on the show, the producers focused more on the guest performers and did not show us the personalities of these contestants. There’s a lot to like there. I told MJ this tonight - as a pair, I think Blake and Jordin will do better than any other top 2 combo so far in AI. And I cannot wait til that happens, so I can tell the h8rs - “I told you so!”

After that, I’m going to sleep. I’m tard.

Ok, I absolutely love those pants, and the man can (IMO) actually pull of the bowtie look without being too uber!cheesy. :-) Real men wear pink. :-D And Blake wears pink oh-so-well.

Oh, yeah, Blake’s Daddy was definitely at the show, I saw him chatting with fans and signing autographs a few sections over from me during intermission. I think that is why B didn’t greet any fans outside, or the other Idols for that matter - they had family that flew in for the NH shows although I heard there’s a good chance they WILL come out for tomorrow’s show either before or after. Just my bad luck, I can’t stick around for tomorrow.

ETA: There were a lot of family members there. Just a few that we saw: Blake’s parents, Gina’s mom and fiance, Melinda’s mom, Jordin’s mom (of course, since she’s ONLY! 17!!!111!!!1!1!1!!), Shyamali, Phil’s wife and kids (his daughters are soooo cute!!!), and supposedly Sligh’s wife is there too, but we didn’t see her. She might have stayed backstage. And… Tony Orlando was also there! Apparently, his daughter is a Sanjaya fan?

MJ and I are also going to the show tonight. I can’t wait to see if they pull crazy stuff like the Idols did last year. Hee!

Blake’s new look is awesome! I love the hair and I love the gray hat too. Those type of hats (fedora) look amazing on him.
I was worried about the stripes but now I love them.

I really liked the outfit, although I am not a fan of bow ties I have to admit that Blake pretty much can pull off any outfit.
HE is just that cool and HOT!.
I bet he got some new fashion ideas from Ashton Michael while he was on NYC for his photoshooot.

About the concert….I’ve seen 4 now and know all the idols fairly well and have to say that I think they are all excellent performers and everyone will do well and are genuinely fine people. I would not want to have to pick a favorite, except Blake, of course. I wish they would have advertised the concert a little more and I believe they would have sold out all the concert. Last night was definitely a sell out. It is very much a family event and I love to see the young kids there.
