It was very, very close and all of you had some great pictures. However, there was one (pictured above) that stumped everyone… except Bully. Bully, seriously, you’ll have to explain to us in comments how in the world you managed to find this pic. It was designated as our “stumper” because we’d never heard of this guy until Star found the pic on a livejournal somewhere, and we were intentionally vague in our description of “Blake with a guy named Alex” just to see if anyone could find it. Alex Deleon is the lead singer of an up-and-coming band called The Cab. Check out their myspace here. We love their sound - and we think some of you might like them, too! (/shameless pimping)

One year ago on this date, Team Plaid put up it’s very first post. And what a year it has been!!
This all just kinda started as a lark with a few of us from MJ’s who were all friends and fellow Blake fans. After Blake’s awesome “Time of the Season” performance on AI, star, in one of her many moments of brilliance, blurted out “Go Team Plaid!” in chat at MJ’s. Thinking that it would be a fabulous name for a sub-fanbase of the Blaker Girls, thanks to Blake’s penchant for wearing cool plaid pants, we took it and ran with it - with MJ getting the domain and offering to serve as our technical advisor and host. THANK YOU, MJ, for all the hard work you put into keeping the site up and running and answering all of our questions. Words cannot express how thankful we all are to you.
When we first started out, there were just a few of us participating. Little did we know what would come down the road and how much fun we’d have with this fandom, from a few of us being able to meet Blake, to getting hooked up with our secret source and getting lots of fun scoop to share with y’all, to just being able to run such a great fanblog for Blake and getting to know so many other great fans. Because honestly, this blog is nothing without you great posters - you are what drives the conversation and keeps things going here.
So, thank you to all of our regulars - new and old - for all you contribute. You each have your own special ways of adding to the community that we have here, and we are so thankful for each one of you. We hope that you will stay around as Blake continues to move forward in his career, and continue to share with all of us your love for all things Blake.
In closing, just for old times’ sake - Go Blake and Go Team Plaid! Save the Beatboxer, Save the World! (another of star’s moments of brilliance. :D)

Happy Anniversary Team Plaid. I am relatively new here. I had never posted on a forum before, because all the people on other forums seemed so hateful and skeery! I had been a lurker here for a long time and watched how everyone seemed so nice and actually discussed things. So I finally got up enough courage to make my first post. Everyone welcomed me and was so nice. I have had a blast ever since. I also love that Big D, Aunt Marcia and Uncle Roy feel comfortable enough with us to be able to share their thoughts and feelings with us. Thanks Team Plaid.
So I guess I was just kidding the other day when I said I was really here for the guy’s aass……but his cute little tushy doesn’t hurt either!

2 - Blake on a laptop…he isn’t actually ON the laptop in the pic you used. :(
3 - Blake listening to his iPod…we couldn’t really tell if that was an iPod he had, and it didn’t look like the earphones were in his ears.

I know how you feel I love it here to… on some of the other boards I went to at one point in time got me banded from blake (my dad blocked it) because some of the user posted so really inaprpate stuff… but on teamplaid it’s clean and family friendly. (also the broswer didn’t have the words blake and lewis so it didn’t block it) But now It’s not blocked and I’m not going back to that board again.. It’s safe here! Also it was totally awsome that I got to talk to Big D about Blake and convenced my grandpa that Blake is still the clean cut kid that I had sent him a few videos of while he was on AI!
Oh ok. I stayed up all night on the last night (You should’ve seen me at school the next day) finding them so I must’ve not been thinkin’. Thanks!

Thank you for giving us a nice place to discuss our addiction to Blake Lewis I came here when you first started and made myself right at home. Not sure where the others came from somewhere else but I can say I wasnt comfortable else where. I hope you will be here for a very long time because I will be a fan of Blake Lewis till the end of time.

And like CJ said, Thanks to all of you at teamplaid who provided tons of information and entertainment. I liked that it was mostly positive, cause I’m a positive kind of guy. I found TP to be the most useful website in find the most current info on Bshorty lewis… When I wonder where he is, or what he’s doing tonight, I simply go to team plaid. It has links to his website, all his critics website and someone surely has linked the most current vids, or schedules. I learned today that he will be on Idol Extra on the 10th. I hope.
So for your firest year, I think that the creators and bloggers alike have been fantastic…. I met a few of you during the year and hope to meet more. I hope that next year we will be talking about his tour and that his record went gold, if not platinum. He has a long way to go, but no doubt, he will keep going.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TEAM PLAID!! WOO HOO! What an awesome place this is. This is the first time I’ve ever been a regular poster on a blog. I did post a little on the AI website last year & then the “other place” - yuck. I found Team Plaid I think in June of last year. What a fantastic find. Thank you many times over to Star, Sarah, PJ, and MJ for all your hard work! I feel like I’ve gotten to know many of you just from reading your posts. I was so busy all day that I’ve just now been able to get online. I am sitting with my plaid blanket. Congrats to Jenlar and JessluvsBlake. Can’t wait to take a peek at all the photos. This has been a fun year. Love the Blake noise!

Congrats Jenlar and JessLuvsBlake! I just want to thank Team Plaid for being the best Blake site out there. This place is by far the best source of Blake news, and it’s never too much doom and gloom, or rainbows and butterflies. It’s just right, and an intelligent fansite. I can’t believe it’s been a year!

I see that WNCI-FM in Columbus, OH showed up on the YES site this morning. There were fans asking him questions on his page in the past few days about him coming there but it was never listed on his calendar. The Grand Rapids and Lansing, MI visits aren’t listed either and those stations had contests going on. lol He is fortunately already getting airplay at those 2 stations.
Blake has broken into the 50’s on Mediabase - # 58 with 244 spins. And the three recent format starters are playing him with multiple spins. Keeping everything crossed - next goal Top 40!

I think Blake was at WNCI this morning. As Pam mentioned, that station showed up on the YES site, plus there is a huge gap in the song log for that station around the time they played Blake’s song. There were only two songs played during the 8:00 hour and one of them was HMW. Hopefully they will put up audio or video of the interview.

Hello- I have been reading Team Plaid since the summer but have never posted. Consider me part of the older contingent of fans of Blake. I truly enjoy his musicianship and his album. His album is with my Beatles, Stones, Doors, Carole King, Linda Ronstadt, classical music, jazz, Eagles etc. Definite musical variety on my part. I hope to hear much more from Blake in the future as he definitely fills that bill. I have never been part of the genesis of a musician before and have learned a great deal through this site about the vagaries of the business. Many thanks to Team Plaid and all of the thoughtful posters. Happy birthday to Team Plaid also and many more. Back to “lurking”.

After you said that, I went back and looked at the comments and then I saw it. Wow! You are exactly right. I have probably watched that vid 3 or 4 times today. I was really blown away by it. I think sometimes that’s what it takes to make converts out of the doubters. It’s one thing to say that Blake is outstanding, but I think if people can actually see the proof of it through vids like that, then it can sometimes change people’s minds. :)
