I got another email from DJ in Harrisburg that the tickets for Blake’s concert will be available on website next week.

Yes, it is through the radio station to celebrate 1 anniversary of the morning program of that station. It will be probably a short set because he will at the venue with another artist.

KSMB, where Blake is now, is a top 40 station. There is no guarantee that any of them will play the song. We know that one of the top 40 stations where he went to last week didn’t and when they don’t, it’s sort of like wasted promo for him.

This was a station that played BA in the past. In fact, they have played HMW when it wasn’t a single and some of the other songs on the CD.

I thanked her for her time, and she did sound as if she was going to go check it out. Putting some good word out there, but I’m not going to lie– I was really disappointed at what she told me. They have no intention of playing or adding Blake. That leaves the clearchannel station now, to corner….but I have a hard time getting in phone calls. I shall endeavor tho, this week.

did the DJ give any particular reason WHY the song will not be played or added? It just seems like the label isn’t bothering to push the single to quite a few stations. :/ As in, lack of payola. It pisses me off but there’s not much I can do, other than request B here.

You notice that “No Air” gets 100 spins, so does Chris Brown, Flo Rida (why won’t that song just die? lol), Mariah, and Usher :/. Nice over-saturation of the air waves, I’m fully expecting Leona to be up there soon enough.

I’m getting so sick of “Low”. Of all the songs on top 40 radio right now, that is the one I would love to see go away! lol

He’s made numerous statements like that all through the promo. I kind of have the same feelings too. You really do need the major markets to make an impact.

Darn it! If he’s doing this whole Jingle Bell stuff again, I think that means solo…no band tour. Anyone else getting that picture?

I kind of see it going this way as well. On the other hand, the more promo Blake can get for this song the better. It’s really struggling right now, and it needs any kind of boost it can get.

The JingleBell type concerts– I’m okay with that. I personally prefer Blake accompanying himself, and it keeps him truer to his own “sound”. Too, working for the KISS stations doing summer promo, it will keep him out there and spreading the love! Grass roots level, baby! It’s small, but he managed to impress pretty well in smaller venues like state fairs last year right? Positive buzz.

That is so weird. Because after I saw it show up on the YES site, I used one of the mediabase request forms and filled it out and submitted it. They then played it for a second time right after that! I don’t know if that was a coincidence or they were answering my request. It was totally weird though that they would just randomly play it twice within a half hour on their own.

If new stations show up, we should respond to it by filling out one of those forms. It would be like telling the station we liked/heard them test it out.

So maybe during this week, everyone could fill out this form maybe once a day to tell the Tucson station to keep playing it and keep the momentum going.

I don’t get why Blake doesn’t get any play in major markets. He’s charting reasonably OK on the mediabase charts, but all his stations are small. Obviously, the small stations are liking it well enough, so couldn’t LA and NY give him a shot? HMW is a great song.
