   Hmm, count me among one of the few who wasn’t thrilled with Brooke this week, I guess! ;) I don’t find anything too special about her voice, to be honest. She has the folksy vibe going that seems to appeal to some folks but her range is quite limited, and it was rather apparent on the acoustic re-arrangement of Pat Benatar - the high notes entirely avoided.

   Amanda and Carly were my favorites this week, the rest were sucky or forgettable. I am preferring the males this season, overall.

   As for Blake singing live, I am really starting to appreciate his singing ability even *more* after I’ve heard some of these folks in Season 7!! Best Top 24 ever my ass, Simon and Nigel. LOL. Wow, did Kady MURDER Queen last night or what? The song was barely recognizable and I think she was off key for most of it! My only concern is making sure Idol doesn’t mess up the microphone-sound engineering for B and the boys.

   (I’m relieved his own band is performing, I don’t trust that Idol band with a song they don’t know!).

   Nic - I agree with you about the girls although none of them really did it for me. As for the Idol band - I think they’re awesome & Blake loved them. But, it is nice his band gets to perform - love them too!
