Some radio commercial just made me go absolutely NUTS!
I don’t know what it’s about because I was spazzing the entire time, but I know I heard something about some ‘launch/countdown to zero’ and they used BREAK ANOTHA in the background! I thought I heard ‘1st March’ too, which is tomorrow (here). I’m just freaking out because for a moment I thought it was some blake-related thing. But hey! there must be some reason they used BREAK ANOTHA? *shrugs* AHHHH! I wanna know what this is all about!!!
Anyway, BA moved up a spot to #17 (on the top 20 countdown)

Btw, this is a different chart than I have been updating you guys about. This is a top 20 chart (that’s on once a week vs every night for the other one) which is based on airplay, requests and record sales. So it’s awesome that it moved up! :)
I’m still very curious about that commercial, they need to run it again!!!
I remember you telling us about the two…so in reality, the #17 is good..thanks heavens Blake is receiving airplay, not so much here but with the release of HMW, the States here might just get on the bandwagon! He’s has hinted at touring..again, possibly, hopefully, in your city..wouldn’t that be nice..I hope he tours here in Philadelphia..I’ll be first in line! would love to see him play his own recordings.
I don’t really think I’ve heard BA being played a lot on the radio, but that could be due to the fact that I don’t listen to the radio religiously. I guess, however, that this chart would give an idea as to how much airplay/votes there are as well as how well the album has been doing here. Speaking of which, when I do find time to go check it out, I’ll update you guys again.
Oh, I hope he does come to Singapore someday! I’m already starting to save up, in fact. Haha.

I haven’t met him, but would LOVE to! I have talked to him on the phone, however. He’s a long time good friend of my niece, and they called me last December when he was with her. She knows I’m totally gaga about him, and I could hardly speak!

91.3 ‘The Zone’ (Feb 29) - #4 of 10
I have a little bit of news about the charity concert for St Jude’s that was this past week, in TN. Vince Gill, Amy Grant, and Melinda Doolittle were slated to perform there at The Factory, which is a really nice facility. Melinda had trouble connecting her flights in from CA, and so she was running late. Amy Grant did a little filling in of time, and I don’t know whether it was because of that or he was slated to sing also, but Phil Stacey got to sing 3 songs as well! (!!!) That was a very good thing to happen for him.
Melinda got there, and sang her pretty heart out, and all was well–but somehow Phil ended up getting a pretty good JBB-type moment. I’m not a Phil-Phan at all, but I have to admit he’s playing it smart, hanging out with high profile people in high profile places. Smart, being seen and making those kind of connections. He ought to do alright if he keeps it up.

This is not splendid. However, it is good to get to have many people know .
BA got broadcasting from 26th to March 2. everyday. In a different time zone.
I think that it was good to work out a strategy beforehand. I am convinced that there were the some effects. Because there are many opportunities to be able to watch MV on TV in Japan. I mean, Probably there is not so a lot the person to request for a song. This channel is MV channel, continues broadcasting it for 24 hours. In other words, many MV is easy to get a chance getting broadcast. I’m glad for him, BA in the TOP50. Because I suppose that there will be many people watching only a chart.
BTW, AI is broadcasted by a delay for 3 weeks (in Japan). when he appears (on March 30), in that week, his CD is just released. A little good thing. but most people buy an import CD now. I think that it is difficult to increase the number of the sales of a JPN edit, he need a new fan. The label does not do the effort of that purpose now.
Anyway, MTV didn’t broadcast yet. Come on! BMG Japan!
If he get the Asian chart TOP10. It a little influence in Japan. (thnks to report, Vanessa!)
I already said about BA, I’m not convinced this song. I wait for release of HMW while supporting BA in Japan.

Love those vids from the Jet :D This part about Blake playing the role of Timbaland made me laugh before I even clicked on the vids! Hee! Loved them! I was really hoping to see something from that show since it was going to be their last before they left on Monday. :)

Okay, this is rather random. But I just had a triple BLOMENT! xD
1. My mom was wearing this striped top with similar color as the jacket Blake wore during his free radio interview
2. I saw this container in my mom’s bathroom labelled ‘BL’ Haha!
3. I have Cherry Blossoms at home! We got them sometime ago, but there weren’t any flowers then. When I was looking at the flowers just now, I was just thinking ‘OMG this can’t be true!’. I had to ask my mom, just because. And when she said Cherry Blossoms I just freaked out!
Okay that’s the end of my random rant. Lol.

Thanks for the press release page Pam. It was nice to see him listed there, along with mention of “fan favorite HMW”. :-) I really, really want this to be good, so that people will hear it and love it… I actually pray for that guy, it’s crazy huh. I just want him to do well, and have all that he has worked for, you know?
30million people in a captive audience is a sweet deal. This audience has already shown they like him, right?? :-)It’ll be like a homecoming.

It will be like a homecoming for Blake of sorts. Even though we have no way of knowing how many folks would be willing to buy the CD based on his performance, Idol is still the #1 rated show in its 8pm time slot on Tuesday’s Wednesday’s and Thursdays so that in itself is a positive if nothing else. :)

So has anyone else performed on the last two results show? I haven’t kept track.
It’ll be great to see Blake, even on the small stage, sing more than 1:30 minutes on AI. I wonder if he’ll have his loop pedals or squeeze ADD behind him. And whether he’ll do his special HMW hand gestures! It’s really a great song. So far, no other S7 guy seems to have his performing ability and confidence, and I still think Blake’s vocals are great. No one other than Castro and the boy who looks like he’s 12 stand out.
About that press release, a specific release for the AI appearance and HMW hitting radio should be coming out today from Arista/19R.
Haha Lisa, I was just coming to post 19/Arista’s press release. This should be picked up by a lot of outlets, so hopefully this will pique interest and the stations that have song already will start to play it. *crosses fingers*

I am happy to see an official press about the single being out and his performance on AI. I asked the DJ on my local station about HMW and he said he will try get it from record rep to add it to requested songs list. Keeping my fingers crossed that this will happen and before Blake’s appearance on AI.

Same here. Though I would be even more happier if the song would start getting some spins on the radio. Called and asked the DJ here, said he liked the song and would see what he could do. Like you Kasia, in hoping that it will happen before the AI performance.

Does Idol Extra still come on right after AI? I looked for it but couldn’t find it…or does it not start coming on until the top 12?
And a random story. We had a talent show last night at work and one of our residents did HMW! It was so cute! He had borrowed a DVD I have of some of Blake’s AI performances to get the dance moves down. He had spiked his hair and had gone to have some blonde put in it. It was awesome!
And I love that KJ interview!
I’m hoping the band will be with him…although it is a small stage. But Kevin’s myspace has it listed in his upcoming events…so maybe!

FYI the official site updated and added the My Space Q&A video along with the AI-HMW news.
I heard HMW on Yahoo music tonight! I was listening to my “customized” station, and they recommended that song because it matched my genre prefs. Hopefully non-Blakers will have the same happen and it will intrigue them enough to pick up a copy!
