I officially have Blake on my brain. Every song I hear just about, I envision what he’d do with it! LOL. Damm “Shadow of the Day” on the radio every hour….all I need is to hear “All Mixed Up” on the radio again to be seriously messed up! ;-) hee!

One more difference beyween Blake’s performances and this season’s contestants…he was having FUN and seemed completely relaxed when on stage while this season’s contestants seem stiff and(with the exception of Jason Castro)uncomfortable.
And I agree with everyone else, I can’t wait till Mar 6 to actually see B back on the Idol stage. Rewatching his performances just tugs at my heart. Ahh, the memories.

This isn’t a major countdown, but of course I’d love to see BA at #1! The one that I’m more interested in is the weekly Top 20 one on Fridays. If BA manages to do well on that one, it would be a bigger deal than this one.
Oh, I like David H, too. He did great. But yeah, I too was thinking about Blake singing that song, and damn damn damn I wished once again we’d have the footage of him performing it!
That’s really true - Blake was really comfortable on stage, and alays having fun. This year’s contestants are not as loose, for sure… And Jason Castro? To me, he is the incarnation of not being comfortable on stage (not when he sings, but when he does anything but).
Blake was not only comfortable on stage but he brought some “zing” to Idol. I enjoyed David H.’s performance & thought he did really well last night. It will be a joy to see Blake on that stage again! Bet he’s excited to see Ricky Minor, the band and the whole crew again.
Any predictions for album sales numbers this week? I think it will be higher than last week. He seems to be holding steady in the 40ish range on iTunes. Last week he sold 3600? I think I would be happy with 4000-4500. I would be ecstatic if it was in the 5K range. When do we usually get numbers?
Are you talking about the pop chart? I can’t check itunes from work. If it’s the pop chart as I said last week that doesn’t mean much and the only way you’ll see a bump in digital sales is if he hits a good position and holds on the overall chart. Remember a few weeks ago when it ended up going as high as 50something on the overall chart for about a day? When the numbers came out he still ended up dropping. You can sell 10-20 CD’s a week and be able to stay on the pop chart.
EOTW– I bet we see a spike in numbers as soon as they announce that he will be on the show, via commercials. I haven’t seen any yet, but if they do make some mentions? I think the effect will be immediate.
For sure, after he appears if nothing else. :-) iTunes may show the interest first, is my guess.
Lisa, thanks for the info re: the pop chart. I’d always wondered just how many/few downloads it took to show up on that chart. Although I was surprised the numbers could be as low as 10-20.
When David Archuleta started singing “Imagine”, I instantly thought of Blake.
I am so excited for next week!!! Blake is going to be so amazing!! And it really is going to boost HMW, it’s going to be a huge hit, I just know it!!!! =)
I honestly don’t think they’ll advertise Blake being on the results show. When I heard Blake would be performing the night the Top 12 are announced I went back and checked last year. Last year it was Carrie Underwood. I don’t remember any advertisements about it. Either they didn’t advertise or I didn’t see it because all I cared about was Blake. Or maybe they advertised on the AI board and I didn’t go there. We’ll see! It would be cool if they did advertise it though. We need to spread the word ourselves as much as possible.
I don’t think Blake’s appearance will be advertised either, but there is a possibility that it may be mentioned next Wednesday night during the girls performance show. I wouldn’t count out it being mentioned on the Idol homepage though but I guess we will find out next week.
I’m so excited for next week’s AI appearance! On my last day of classes too! I can’t wait to see how he does it. I would think that the top 16 results show should get a lot of attention too, because they’ll be announcing the top 12. He’ll be mentioned in all the articles after the show.
What a difference confidence made with David H. He was great last night. And I’ll be extremely pissed if Jason C. goes home. I had flashbacks to Randy Johnson’s idiotic behavior with Blake when he was going on about the guitar being great as part of an act, like it’s some sort of sideshow attraction at the circus. Apparently Randy has no respect for anything musically impressive, not just Blake.

That confirms what Johnny and Kent have been telling us for the past month or so. :) Kent had posted a list of all of his gigs for the entire month of February on the 19th of this month and his last show for this month is tonight. KJ will be there as well. Apparently the band is supposed to be leaving on Monday to head off for LA to start the promo which will be the 3rd. That’s all I know. lol

Thanks for the information from Johnny and Kent. I did not see that. What Kevin wrote about tour starting in May is sort of new to me. I think before I heard that tour might start on March or so. It sounds like promos will be in March and tour will be around May.
I was also glad to hear that the whole band will be performing on March 6. I wonder what the other boys will think about this reality show.
I cannot wait for a tour!!! The AI tour was great but 2 hours of just B will be much better.

As far as what the band will think of Idol, I’d love to be a fly on the wall and see the reactions on their faces while they are trying to take it all in. lol
Ok, this goes wonderfully hand in hand with the news Maroon 5 had this week on a local radio…M5 touring the states this summer…..things that make you go hmmmm.
I know that from what is listed on 1R’s myspace, that they will be doing some joint tour dates with Maroon 5 starting on the 28th of March in Australia, Wales, and New Zealand.

I cannot wait for the tour! I’ve already informed my boss at work that I will be taking off no matter what when Blake comes to my area…even if we have a big event like the play or something. LOL
Our play is May 29 - June 1 so I hope they aren’t in this area during that time…but oh well if they are. Guess someone will have to cover for me! I mean, I have priorities! LOL

I totally was annoying my family throughout the entire episode of Idol- in fact I’m not allowed to watch with them anymore if I mention Blake. Thank goodness there’s other “crazies” out there like me so I know I’m not the only one thinkin what I am haha.

yeah, I’m not feeling the Top 24 too much this year. :/ I honestly think tonight’s Top 10 girls had to be one of the WORST shows EVER on Idol. Wow, total crap fest in most cases!
And I really didn’t care for David Archuleta’s rendition of “Imagine.” He diva-ed the shit out of it with the glory notes, WTF? I’ll take Blake’s version ANY day.
Hmm, world tour sounds like Blake might end up being an opening act for some more established band, what do you think? I don’t think that’s such a bad idea, kinda like what Jordin is doing with Alicia Keys. But who knows, maybe it is a solo tour.
There is a comment on Blake’s myspace that indicates he may have performed a song or two one of the last couple of nights (maybe with KJ?). Has anyone picked up any more info?
