EndOfTheWorld, thanks for the one-year-ago clip. I loved that song when he did it, those first three weeks of competition really showed me what Blake was all about. I still feel that this year’s contestants are being screwed with by not being allowed to bring their own flavor to the first few weeks of competition. Instead they already have themes, blech.

I really loved that performance. My favorite still is SOWK but this showed people how a great performer and dancer he is. I loved those moves by the way.. Very cute outfit too. Memories.. He was really thin back then right? Although I do think he has lost some weight recently. Good for him. He needs to look good for the upcoming HMW promo.
Ohmygosh I forgot how CUTE B was in that vid. Thanks for the reminder EOTW. So adorable and so original. Well, AI on tonight and I don’t even care, whereas last year we all counted the days until B would perform again. Help me get through this winter!!
WOW Vanessa #2…I think he has done better over there than here in the states….I remember that performance..I voted for him then but was not really snookered in until TOTS…that’s when he became “MR. SEXY MAN” hey…loves those little wiggles he does in his songs..moves those hips pretty well..I believe he uses his body as his instrument in keeping the beat..all of his performances, you will see him keeping time in some dance fashion..
Man, just listening to the countdown every night, brought me back to the days of the results shows. I thought we could overtake Sara Bareilles, but it seems like she got a ton of votes tonight. No worries though, still got the rest of the week ;)
I love seeing these vids again because it makes me want to ask myself the question of why I wasn’t on the Bshorty train to begin with! lol Everytime I see these vids it just makes me appreciate the awesome talent he has that much more!

Thanks for the info! I know a lot of folks were wondering what tonight’s theme was going to be including myself. lol I do agree with your statement about Blake. We got to know him a great deal based partly on his song choices and with these theme weeks being so early in the game this year, it is really difficult to tell what these contestants are all about as individuals and yes, hopefully they can figure out a way to make the songs contemporary. It will be very interesting to watch.

Hey everyone…..I was watching the big gossip show “The Insider” last night and they were having their annual Oscar show and guess what song they used as background? “Gots To Get Her”!! I was like “Whhaatt!? It sounded awesome. Unexpected exposure.

We emailed our source about the ad. He said we could clarify for you guys that Blake will indeed be on the show 3/6, top 12 results night.
Did anyone notice that last night on the “INSIDER” Entertainment News show on the Oscar coverage that the background Music was “Gots to Get Her”? They played it throughout their Oscar coverage.

OK, so the cats out of the bag, I will confirm. “B” says he will be on the show on the 6th… Small stage. 12 Results night.
Also, we discussed the AI show and he said “That whole thing is like a dream now”. I’m sure that means that now it is the real world. What an experience.
All of the first three performances were grand and exciting and watching them again bring tears to my eyes.

Thanks Big D for confirming the great news! I wonder what Blake will be feeling inside when he steps on that Idol stage again. What a great journey it has all been. I hope I don’t cry when I see him on TV. I am on the West Coast, so I will have to wait 3 hours longer than y’all!
Big D, There have been quite a few of us that, rewatching those performances, were reduced to tears also. Thankfully we have all those videos to bring those wonderful memories back. Now it’s time to make even greater memories, and I have no doubt the future will shine even brighter for B.

Thanks BigD–the confirmation is important for us. I too like seeing these last year’s shows, it makes me miss him on my tv screen like crazy, tho. Seeing him on Idol again, hopefully with RickyMinor and Company? That will be SWEET!

I checked the Chicago KISS radio station’s adds on All Access. The only official add they have is “Love Song” by Sara Bareilles. Maybe they’re just testing BA out, although it seems pointless to be doing so now…*shrug*
Star, I agree that they aren’t going to add it. They’ve been playing the hell out of “No Air” forever. Why would they add BA now? However, I’ll admit it makes me hope they’ll be open to HMW.
Barbariba- I too, feel a little emotional seeing him sing in the old YouTubes, and the thought of him being there on the 6th makes me almost verklempt. :-) I hope I don;t break down and cry too, because the family will just stare and laugh…you know.
Seeing the Performances from One Year Ago, it makes you feel a little choked up. Seeing him again on the stage? Is like a dream come true. Dream realized, maybe because he’s made it. I hope he plays with Ricky Minor and the band, and blows the collective world’s minds! Can NOT WAIT. (just the thought has me teary and excited! LOL)
