Thanks for posting the vid. I know everyone here loves HMW and hopes it’s the next single release. It’s OK, but I personally think “Here’s My Hello” is the true masterpiece and wish he would release that next. “End of the World” and “1000 Miles” also awesome….and I love those as well.
Beatboxing in the shower. Sweet! But an hour in the shower?! Seems like the tats would fade after that routine every day!

Cute interview, thanks for posting Nikki. Love this video of HMW. I’m not sure what should be the next single anymore. At this point, I’m just hoping that he will get one more single and that the label backs it; fully.
Why, oh why, do I have to have the thought of B in the shower this early in the morning? I will be unable to function the rest of the day. I try so hard to be good….
vicki, you are too much…my son takes an hour shower …maybe they daydream in there…My best friend’s son..was drunk..took a shower…turned out he was in there for 8 hours..imagine!
as far as songs, thee are many good ones..depending on the day, I switch my favoriates..still thinking HMW would be a single that might the most mass appeal..this is a toughee…but I know you guys think “without you” is sappy..but I really like this..even though I am older..I can remember feeling the words when I had a breakdown (way back younder days) but I love to sing to that song.. so in essence there are a lot of good ones,,,just wish I was a genie on the wall so that I would know what would be his “take off” song.. whatever it is, we will all be hoping for a platinum success

Blake is getting a lot of requests right now for IGU to be put up on his myspace. It also has the most votes for favorite single over at IDF, with HMH second and HMW third. FWIW.

Does anyone know what happened to the vid that was supposed to be posted at Kimmel? I’d still like to see that. As far as favorite songs I have a hard time deciding. Sometimes they change daily. Some favorites that have been favorites from the beginning are WUG2L, HMH, Surrender, KMN. New favorites - SMMLI, GTGH. Without You is still my least favorite but I think it’s pretty too.

For what it’s worth I heard some rumblings about what the next single will be and there were three choices I heard, IGU was not one of them.
hmmmm…interesting although I kind of figured IGU wasn’t among their choices. I do love it though and I’m glad I’m not in the minority. :D

I hope they are considering H2LH, KMN, HMH or HMW.
This record is awesome, Blake needs to get his voice out there with a Hit on the radio. Crossing fingers that the label finally makes the right decision.

I adore HMW on the album. Live… Not so much… *duck tomatoes* Of course the sound quality is never great on YT videos… So I’ll reserve my judgment of this song live for when I see it for myself. Which hopefully will be very soon!!! :)
Next single - not that it matters, but I’d love to hear WYG2L or HMH as the next single.

I’m with you on not loving HMW live as much as on the album. I don’t think it has enough umph for a good live dipslay. That’s another reason I hope they go with IGU. I think the chorus gives him better moving around rhythm than HMW.
I agree with not caring for HMW live. Same with BA. It’s OK on the album because the voice quality is clear, but the live performances can sound a little screechy. I just love HMH and wish that would be the next single. Maybe something other than a ballad like “She’s Making Me Lose It.” Pretty awesome.

As far as the next single goes, I kinda hope it won’t be WYGTL even though I love the song. Going back to what star said yesterday, I don’t think the radio reception to the song will be good and he really needs a song that will “chart”. We all know that Blake wanted that as the first single initially and I’m kind of glad that the label said no. Between WYGTL and BA, I kinda think BA was a better choice IMO. I’m really hoping it’s either HMW, KMN, or HMH but what do I know? LOL
I do agree with the consensus on HMW live. I love the CD version, but the live version doesn’t do it for me either.

I am surprised at the fewness of CD sales in US.
What is the cause?
I guess, is it a reason same as Jamiroquai not being liked in US?
Because I felt that the Blake’s music was near UK pop.
However, I think that Blake has a chance in Japan.
Many Japanese like pop music.
Last year Avril sold 0.85million, BSB sold 0.3million, Maroon5 sold 0.25million in Japan.
So I hope that Blake succeeds like them by promotion activity.
There is not the plan of the Bonus Track now.

Oh! in other random stuff–I was in the car this morning, taking the circuitous route to my mom’s house after the bad storm damage we had this week(fallen trees, etc) and I accidentally heard some of ChrisBrown’s “KissKiss” song. Now, that gets on my ever-lovin’ last nerve as a general rule, but I happened to hear him sorta talking, telling this girls that when “you see my bandanna hanging down, you know that I’m a Bandit!” and I just grinned like crazy. (Anybody remembering EthansAdventures/Unicorns are REAL?? LOL)

Hi guys, was reading the current US Weekly and there was a reference to a new VH1 radio parody show which got a diss, but Blake was mentioned as one of the celebrities dropping by to skewer themselves. Not sure when the episode with him on it would air.

Pam - I actually think that WYG2L has more radio appeal than BA, but that’s just me. I think it could do better. But I also think he needs a mid-tempo song for a second single.. So maybe WYG2L wouldn’t be so good after all. HMH would be the best, IMO.
But whatever B and his management choose for the second single, I’ll be happy and support him no matter what! :)

Okra–Welcome! and you said a few things that were very interesting to me. Blake being UK Pop freindly, and Jamiroquai not being so popular here, those are very good points to think about. Blake’s musical interests being so diverse and International, perhaps overseas they will appreciate him even more than we do.
I’m good with whatever song they want to release. If he’s happy, I’m happy…so long as it gets some airplay! :-) I’m still voting, and doing the mediabase requesting. If you look at the VH1 vote site, there are a few where the voting has gone Ice Cube-cold. Jordin’s Tattoo is one of them, despite her being played.
Rickey.org has a few really fun videos from Jordin’s Superbowl party yesterday. ChrisRich sings “Apologise”! Check out the 10min/whatev long one of him beatboxxing around, and them taking turns entertaining!
Steph Jones is a hoot, love that guy–”Put me in your top 8!” heh.
The only thing that worries me is that WE can’t even agree on what song is best suited for the next single, so what the hell is Arista going to ultimately decide? LOL. Remember, we want people who don’t even KNOW Blake to hear his music on the radio and find it appealing, not just die-hard fans. So it’ll be interesting to see what the label’s final judgment is.
I guess I will be in the minority again because I like HMW live ;). It sounds a little more alternative than on the CD….
This can be said for any potential single for any artist. For example I’m a huge Carrie Underwood fan and there’s hardly unanimous agreement on future singles amongst her fans.
But again, about the single - two of the choices started with “H”, that’s all I’ll say LOL I would imagine something will be confirmed shortly.

The Album is Fantastic, Timing is everything and I think we just have to have faith that they have a plan!!! That’s just my opinion and I’m stickin’ to it!

This is torture! I stand by my original HMW, KMN, or H2LH. Though, HMH is another good possibility.
Am I the only one that actually likes the live performance of HMW? He puts such passion into that song. I have to say that Blake’s musical instincts have been pretty good so far, and he’s been pushing for HMW.
But, I’ll just be glad to see the 2nd song get out there. And I’ll be crossing fingers and toes that it gets the mass airplay.

Hey Bully I watched the ones that over at IDF. I guess one of the songs is a new single that will be released on i-tunes for CRich. And they said that it was announced that his album is coming out this summer. Has anyone heard word about that?
It did look like they were all having a good time. Seems like forever since I have seen Melinda.
Crystal J., I really love the live version of HMW also! One of my favorite performances that he has done of the new songs is HMW from the AOL Sessions. He puts a lot of emotion into it and really sells the song, especially towards the end.
As far as the next single, I would put HMW, KMN, and G2GH as my top contenders. Really though I too just want another single out there, and hope it does well. That being said, I kinda hope one of the choices they are looking at isn’t HMH. Personally it’s one of my least favorite on the album, I usually skip over it.
Ooops - I missed it that Nic said before me that she also liked the live HMW. ;o) And, I see more of us now. :o)

Yeah, HMW live performance love from me ;). I wouldn’t have a problem with this as the next single at all, assuming the radio stations give it a fair chance (*grumble*, you know WHAT stations I mean).
Then KMN would be a really good follow-up single after that, I think. Lupe Fiasco’s single is getting nice airplay here of late and one DJ totally pimped Lupe’s new CD on the air today.
Sorry I got so distracted by the shower talk this morning. I love the live performance of HMW. He puts so much feeling into it, closes his eyes, etc. It’s heartbreaking. It just makes me want to give him a hug and make it all better.
This video looks like it was from Philly’s show. From what I remember, Blake sounded great live on HMW. During his performance only Kevin was playing drums. Maybe that is why it sounds a little different than the track on cd or AOL version.
