We were about 3 rows of people back from stage center…so we had a good spot. Blake came out and did a little beat boxing before Baby Bash. I completely agree with MemphisLisa…the rest of the concert was ok, but nothing amazing. Blake was definitely the best part of the evening.
When it was time for him to perform, I saw them move the drums out and then put down his loop pedals. I got all excited and told my friend he would be next. KJ came out, and they so could be twins! My friend even asked if they were brothers! MemphisLisa pretty much covered the performance, but I will say that Blake and KJ are amazing! They are so high energy and just fun!

Memphis Lisa’s Recap!
“He is so hot!” That was the consensus from a gaggle of primping gals in the women’s restroom right after Blake got off stage. I had to elbow my way to the sink to wash my hands. But I did it with a smile on my face. It’s great to hear Blake-love!
I arrived at the Memphis 107.5 Jingle Jam in Sam’s Town Tunica 10 minutes late, kicking myself because I thought I’d missed Blake’s introduction and setup for the show, since he was billed as the celebrity host for the event. But I met up with a woman and her friend who said that Blake didn’t appear until just before Baby Bash performed. So I think I caught all the key stage time.

So on Wednesday of this week, thanks to my new boyfriend KJ Sawka’s myspace,
I found out that Blake had been added to the line-up of 107.5 The River’s Acoustic Christmas concert. At first I thought my chances of being able to attend were slim to none, because the only way to get tickets to the show was to win them off the radio. And I just don’t have that kind of luck, so I spent some time pouting about not being able to go until an infinitely awesome friend of mine directed me to Craigslist. I managed to find a pair of tix on there for a very reasonable price, and so it was on. Or was it? Friday afternoon came and I actually wasn’t sure I was going to be able to make it (long story) but the planets aligned and StarSis and I arrived at the venue exactly twenty minutes before showtime.
The concert was held at the Gibson Showcase at Opry Mills. I’ve been shopping there before but I had no idea there was a little theater in the Gibson store. It was a cool place! There are tables spread all over the room, so people can sit and have dinner and watch a show on the stage down front. Unfortunately since we got there a little late all the seats were taken so we had to stand. The place was pretty crowded! I guessed there were 500 people there but I noticed one of the photo albums on the station’s website mentioned 700, so this was good exposure for Blake! We found a nice spot like one level off the floor to stand, stage right.

I need to first give a few shout outs to the athletes who worked their tails off Friday-Sunday competing in some of the most extreme sports I’ve ever seen. Pierre-Luc Gagnon won the skateboard competition, and my heart. You can see more of him here. Second place went to 16-year-old Alex Perelson, who was just an incredible airborne entertainer. You can see more of him here. A special shout-out goes to Bob Burnquist for his constant entertainment and sportsmanship. If you don’t know him, get to know.

Lara attended both of the AI concerts in Manchester, NH last weekend. She got to talk to Blake at the afterparty about his surprise addition of “She Loves The Way.” Read on to find out what he had to say, and to see Lara’s photos and videos!

I went to both shows in Manchester last weekend, and truly had one of the best weekends of my life. I absolutely have to thank the best Top Ten ever for that… they have been amazing all summer to the fans, and they did not disappoint in New Hampshire.

Blake Lewis appeared 10 feet in front of me as an on-stage security guard. And immediately I knew it was B-Shorty. I couldn’t contain myself. So, bursting with unbridled knowledge, I said to the random stranger next to me with the 35mm telephoto lens and “After Show” sticker on her blouse, “That’s Blake Lewis!” She looked skeptical, but snapped a single shot in response.

Last night’s show in Charlottesville was one that some might consider a hometown show for Chris Richardson. I’m not really sure which one he considers his hometown show… maybe both last night’s, and tomorrow night’s in Hampton. Anyway, where you there? Let us know what you thought of the show, and as always, if you have pics and/or videos, please share those with us too!
