YouTube has been an amazing amazing thing, this summer. The being able to rewind and watch parts(or all) over and over again, I just love that. It takes me a long time to download vids, but YouTube goes the best, and is definitely worth it!
YouTube, it’s my drug. *sigh* I wonder if the Idols know how prevalent they have been,and how much we all have loved them? Seriously.
greeneyes was saying at TWOP that she saw Ryan Tedder, and was like TALKING WITH HIM after the show…and I just got to thinking, wouldn;t it be neat, if Blake did venues like that, where visiting was possible??
She also said she saw him packing up the boxes and got video of it too LOL, but didn’t know about NYC trip. I believe Jacqui, if she said he went to NYC, he went to NYC. LOL
Thank you Jacqui! I am so glad the tour is ending. I can’t wait to see Blake in his own element. I can’t wait to have an excuse to visit the most beautiful city in the U.S., Seattle. Most of all, I can’t wait to see Blake WITH Common Market. I’m willing this to happen.
The NYC trip was pretty common knowledge if you were at the after party and Chris told a few Cake fans where Blake was going. I got my info about the shoot and meeting through an industry friend. I think all that TWOP poster was trying to say was she herself didn’t hear anything, I don’t think she was doubting it.
Anyone find a video of B packing up the boxes yet?
Blake’s solo career is just starting.
I can’t wait for his first single to drop, hear him on the radio and watch all his media promo come November.

Hey guys! I was the one who had posted over at TWoP!
No, I wasn’t doubting the NYC trip AT ALL. I said I didn’t HEAR about the trip but I kinda guessed that’s what he was doing. I was trying to say that I had put the puzzle pieces together and ASSUMED he was going to NYC. In fact, when I had read the posts that he indeed was going I kind of giggled to myself because I had guessed right. =P
Anyway, yeah my friend and I were literally having full on conversations with OneRepublic. When we asked Ryan about Blake, it was so great. He lit up and giggled and said said Blake wasn’t there unfortunately. During the show someone beatboxed a little bit and my heart SANK. I thought Blake would magically appear from nowhere, haha. Since I had guessed he was in NYC I REALLY thought he might show up and was looking around for him the whole time since the club was SO TINY. They really are a great band and I’m POSITIVE they will be huge.
I REALLY hope Blake does stuff like that — stay after and chat with people on his solo two-er. It’d really mean alot to people, because I’ll admit, talking to OneRepublic and really feeling like they genuinely care was such a great feeling. They asked us where we were from, if we went to school in the city (which I do so I talked with one of the guys about that for a while, etc.) and I don’t know, it was just so cool.
Yeah, so that’s the scoop. I’m uploading the box video now and I’ll post the youtube link in here when it’s done! :)

If it had done any good I would have reached through the screen and strangled those girls! The security guard kept telling them they would come over but they seemed to refuse to listen!

You must’ve been right to the left of me…at least I feel like that’s what your view was. And yeah, the girls were right next to me…what a pleasant thing to relive, lol. There was one little one that kept yelling, “But CHRIS!! I’m crying! Can’t you see that I’m CRYING?!” And at first it was kind of funny…and then…it got…less funny.
I’m relieved, however, not to hear my own voice on your video…I’m not usually a screamer, but I was a little worried that Cake would’ve gotten the better of me and brought out the teeny…looks like I was able to stay in control.
I was right there too! haha! I was closer to the fence. Those girls made me want to stab my eyes out with a rusty fork! Sounds like the girls sitting next to me inside. She screeched the ENTIRE time!!!!!
I think you needed a set of earplugs. LOL No wonder Blake walks off half the time and does sign stuff. I can certainly see why! All of that prolonged screaming is enough to drive a rational human being insane! LOL
I completely admire Blake and Chris for their tolerance and patience when it comes to screaming, rabid teen and tweener fans. Now we know exactly why Blake carries that electronics store around in his pants - so he can tune them out if need be!
Absolutely! He needs to be able to preserve his hearing as well as his voice!

Hahaha Kylene, this is going to sound so funny but I think I was next to a man you were with in the early afternoon because Chris gave a shoutout on a cell phone to a bunch of people including a Kylene? I remember hearing that name! LOL
Anyway, Blake totally had his ipod on the entire time! I could tell! I do NOT blame him at all.
After seeing that video, I don’t blame him either!

Yep, you must’ve been!! My sister’s friend and her daughter were going to the show with us - I ended up sitting with the 8 year old. They’re like family to ours, and the man there was her uncle (my sister’s friend’s brother….following? lol) His sister told him he had to meet me there so that I didn’t get stolen in Bridgeport (we didn’t know how many normal people there’d be there, otherwise he wouldn’t have gone), so he was down there waiting for me. Unfortunately, I got lost on my way there (hopelessly lost for an hour) and almost missed Chris, so Douglas recorded him for me. I got there just before Chris went back though…I was shaking by the time I got there. Actually, if you saw Douglas, I’m sure you saw me too!!
The funny thing is that Chris said my name differently, and he said it the way Clay said it when I met him…I’ve decided that from now on, I’m changing the pronounciation, lol.
Wow. That video with all the fangirls screaming gave me a headace and I wasn’t even there! lol, I agree with what most of you have said about why Blake carrying around his earphones and such. I would totally do the same.

Well I finally read through all the posts about the Bridgeport show..took me long enough.
I’m sure I saw some of you there. I was out by the buses after the show. Me and my friend were talking the the security guys most of the time. I was so bummed that Blake wasn’t around. Only reason I really hung around, but it was cool talking the Chris R. Who was the only one I believed when he told me that Blake did indeed leave for NYC. I guess I have to join photobucket to see the pix that Jacqui put up. Really want to see them.
So how did you all get to the afterparty???? I kept asking people to try to get in. Let me know please.
I have some pretty good video, I’ll post them when I get a chance. Thanks for sharing all the stories about the pre/after parties. I keep asking the Blaker Girls to be sure they share how we can get meet and greets for his solo shows. Talk to you all soon.
