Blake’s got a new myspace blog up!
He talks about what he’s been up to, the shows he’s played, and finding out from his manager that Arista decided not to pick up the option on a second cd - plus some really cool new pics! This is my favorite story though:
The boys went home and Johnny and I proceeded to Albany, NY for a radio show. It was great. Met up with my friends Metro Station and Ace Young. My friend Blake from Metro actually played a couple keyboard lines on How Many Words. Super great band. It was nice to finally catch up with Ace and hang. His single is coming out soon and I really like it. Much respect.
So we played this radio show and Coolio was there. Gangsta Paradise himself. This story I have to tell. My tour manager, Ace and I are chillin in my room and BOOM!! The fire alarm goes off. This goes on for a good half hour and then BANG, BANG, BANG! Knocks on the door. Its Coolio’s nephew/producer Ghost. Super chill/nice guy and Ace, He and I start rappin bout life and Cool. then ten minutes later there’s another knock at the door. “Fire Department”… open the door and who else could it be… Coolio. I’m laughing. That was funny enough for me. Coolio at my door and he probably started the fire alarm and ran to my room for cover. Perfect way to end a great day.
Check out the rest of the blog here and leave him some love!

Love Blake’s blogs. Like all his little spelling and grammar errors, they make him more endearing. His blogs sound like he is in the room just casually chatting with you.
Sarah, that was my favorite part, too. I love that he gives Ace props.
I heart Ace and can’t wait for his album on July 15! :-)
Ugh he is just too sweet. I loved that blog. EOTW, I agree about it being like he’s in the room just casually chatting. The pictures he posted are so endearing too. I’m so proud of him, really. And he’s definitely going to be JUST FINE on his own. :) I have the utmost faith and confidence.
Love that blog…this part is pretty sweet too…
Love that remix, have it on my ipod for when I run. Great beat!
Saw this posted over on IDF by angelxtreme…it his Blake jamming with Coolio at some club in Albany.

Anne, thanks so much for bringing that over - it is just FUN. I love that Blake can improvise with so many folks, on such different types of music.
I enjoy reading his blogs too. The pictures he put along with this last blog were very intersting, telling the story by itself.
As far as improvising, NBNN, you are so right. During Canal Room concert when he was performing “We came to get down” toward the end, you can see that on the video, there was some glitch and the tempo of his recording picked up. You can see how Blake smoothly adjusts to that and records a little phrase. It was really entertaining. I can see many artists in situations like stopping or getting distracted. Blake is really an amazing live performer. So much fun.
Anne,
I think that video is so great! Loved it. Love the “Oh My God” parts (that’s like he did at last year’s finale).
Yay!!!!!! HMW #21 on Hot Dance Club Play Billboard Charts. It was #29 last week.
EOTW,
That is awesome. Let’s keep fingers crossed that it will continue to move up.
Here is a short but a nice blog and very cute video of Blake beatboxing for MTV. I especially like the last two sentences of the blog.

Kasia or Greeneyes, during B’s encore what did he say after telling everyone under 16 to cover their ears? I couldn’t hear him. Thanks for all the awesome videos and pictures.
I finally caught the America the Beautiful performance. I had avoided the Earth Day one because I had it fixed in my mind that it would be a straight rendition of the song and I’m not really into that kind of music. But I was impressed with Blake’s Canal Room performance. He turned that old song into a moody, mediatative piece of music and at the end into a protest song. That’s talent. And I liked how the room eventually quieted down and started to really listen to the music and get lost in the performance. With just one song Blake can navigate a song from straight patriotism to jazz to electronica to protest.
Vicki,
I missed that.
Chales C.
This song was one of the highlights of the night for me. I also loved the transition from a more traditional beginning to jazzy sound at the end. Blake voice sounded so wonderful.
Heh! That was after SLTW, and he said, “It’s about SEX!” hee! Naughty naughty– he couldn;t resist I guess!
Thanks Bully! I figured it was something along those lines. His naughtiness makes him even more adorable.
