   Elliott may have *shipped* 500,000 units, but he still hasn’t *sold* that many. I was just pointing out that even he is struggling to sell alot of albums, despite the fact his song’s been ALL over the airwaves for 6 months straight. I just think CD sales in general are down in the dumps, with a few exceptions (a handful of artists).

   I saw that Josh Groban is going to be on Rachel Ray’s show tomorrow. Apparently, he’s not sold enough CD’s yet. ;o) Yeah, I know, he won’t be selling this one after Xmas, so he has to sell it while he can.

   Yes, I believe in the last couple of weeks, CD sales have been down about 22-24% from last year (too lazy to look up the exact numbers). That’s significant… almost 1/4. That would turn 100K into 75.

   Go Josh Groban, I guess. LOL. I’m not buying it.

   I have sat here dumbfounded for the last couple of weeks looking at Groban’s sales #’s. I think HDD said he’s been #1 for like the 5th straight week I think? It’s really, I guess amazing is the word for it? LOL

   Go Josh Groban, I guess. LOL. I’m not buying it.

   You know I love Josh’s voice. Remember the first time I saw him on Alley McBeal. I thought, wow that guy can sing. So I bought is self titled CD…turns out can’t listen to a whole CD worth of him singing;) So yea, not buying it either. Still amazing none the less though.

   Josh Groban is amazing, but I’m not buying his album either. Here’s an example of what i *did* buy:
   I bought a $6dollar 70’s #1 Hits compilation…a collector’s set of Snoopy songs, for spouse and family….a $5dollar Best of the 60’s compilation, with Bonus DVD of commercials from the era(which should be fun for aunties and uncles to share)…and some other inexpensive one, as a stocking stuffer. I looked at a couple others, like JamesTaylor’s Xmas album(because I big pink puffy heart his voice)and I’m hoping someone gives it to me, but I didn’t splurge on anything else. Unless it’s by a favorite artist, or proves to be wow, we just let them go by.

   I know what you mean about not being able to listen to a whole album of somebody. Carrie Underwood is one, for me.

   You guys should try Josh’s CD. There’s a good reason it’s sold as well as it has. I’m not even a huge fan of his voice or anything but this was given to me and it’s gorgeous. If you like Christmas that is, but it’s really something.

   now I wouldn’t recommend Josh’s CD… I had to force myself to listen all the way through…sounded like the same song, same tone…boring…my coworkers also felt the same way…there are other CD’s way better he is getting buying frenzy on name recognition..sorry…stick to Blake’s CD!
