They all looked excited to meet Taylor too. There is a really cute report out there from someone who was there (outside), and saw Blake and Taylor meeting. I think it’s on the Blaker Girls livejournal. Star found it last night (Star has amazing investigative skills!). However, I can’t go to livejournal from work or I’d post it- I’m sorry! So, I guess if you want to see it, just go browse around there. You should be able to find it. :)

I thought Taylor looked and sounded great too. That song is one of my faves on his album, so I’m glad they chose to air that one (since it’s my understanding that they taped 3).

I mean, the majority of Americans don’t watch the beginning part of the show to see the people who make it thru to Hollywood. They watch to see the bad people. That’s why AI focuses on that part of auditions, and also why it’s widely touted that the REAL competition starts when we get to the top 24.

And I guess this means that the spoilers LB saw at Sucks are indeed false. Cause they had it backwards - Clive’s choice was a solo artist and Blake’s personal choice was a band.

I’m wondering if he may be doing a hip hop or reggae artist as his pick. Mraz is a good guess, but I don’t know. Who else has he said he wanted to perform or really admires?

Vegas - Blake did say in an interview back in the day (I believe it was an EW interview right after the top 12 were announced) that he had tried to get Robin Thicke cleared and it wouldn’t clear. He mentioned Imogen Heap in that same interview I think. I don’t really want him to do one of Robin’s songs though. Just ugh.

PJ, if it’s just the top 3 who are going to be on Extra, I doubt song choices will be announced. If it was Nigel/Ken, Ryan, Clive, or one of the judges, maybe. But not the contestants.

I was just reading also at AYN and ninergrl said that the top three are going to be on Extra tonight. I hope someone can tape it since it comes on at 4 here and I’ll miss it. Wonder if they will release some song choices at that time.

And you guys got the Maroon 5 guess right - not sure about the exact song (cause I am not a fan and have never heard their songs, so when he told me, I didn’t retain the song name lol, sorry!) but i know his choice is Maroon 5….and the fact that they are playing the next night should have been a dead giveaway people!!

I love love love Maroon 5, and I know Blake will be awesome doing them. I don’t particularly care for Robin Thicke, BUT Blake wanted to sing him, so I am super excited that he is getting his wish. Tonight is going to rock. Oh and I’m glad that whoever posted that all of Robin’s songs are not entirely falsetto, b/c that is just not my idea of good music. I hope Blake picks one that’s not all falsetto. Oh well, even if he does, I will love it anyway, just b/c it’s my homeskillet singing it. :)

Maroon 5 is one band I have been hearing a lot on the Hot AC station (and should I venture into hearing Top 40 radio.) It fits Blake’s sound and style, so things look bright tonight.
