Yeah, they’ll sing in the same order as the other contestants if it goes anything like previous seasons. Last year, the order was Clive’s choice, judges choice, contestant’s choice.
I wonder if the reason Maroon 5 suddenly cleared is because they get to pimp their new single on the results show? Sounds like there might have been some negotiations, especially since Leona was scrapped at the last minute.
I’m excited. Should be a fun night.

never knew thinks the Maroon 5 song he’s doing is “Harder To Breathe” and that was the FU song she was referring too. But it doesn’t sound like she’s totally sure about that, so I guess we’ll see.
Even if Blake goes home tomorrow, at least he’s going out singing songs by some of his favorite artists. That’s pretty freaking cool.
PJ, my thoughts exactly. At least they are doing the right thing by allowing clearance for one of their songs to be sung, since they are going to use the show for exposure - which is fine by me because their new album comes out next Tuesday, and I want it to sell like CRAZY. So yeah, there were some definite negotiations, I bet. They got a prime week for the performance. The week before their cd release date.
Leona was scrapped? I’m soooo happy to hear that. She would be so out of place, and she really isn’t all that.

Yeah PJ, I remember hearing last season that they test the lines around noon PST. So that would be right if someone tried to call.

If by some chance, Blake sings a Jason Mraz song, I may just drive the 4 hours to Hollywood and propose marriage after the show.
Mraz is basically my favorite musician ever, and Blake has been climbing pretty close to that number… so good lord… *fans self* I can’t even take the thought! And I’ve been hoping for him to sing a Mraz song all season long.
Of course, I’ve been hoping for a Maroon 5 one as well. So either way… SCORE.

Robin Thicke is one that I don’t know anything about so thanks for all of the links! His performance a few weeks ago was just painful… sorry to any fans here :( When I Get You Alone would just be so fabulous for him. Is that really “A Fifth of Beethoven” in the background? Talk about updating an old piece… twice!

Sarah, Well, I’m glad Team Plaid is “under the radar” so to speak as far as your work goes. In the fall when his hit record comes out, you might be out of luck though. :D

I love love love Maroon 5, and I know Blake will be awesome doing them. I don’t particularly care for Robin Thicke, BUT Blake wanted to sing him, so I am super excited that he is getting his wish. Tonight is going to rock. Oh and I’m glad that whoever posted that all of Robin’s songs are not entirely falsetto, b/c that is just not my idea of good music. I hope Blake picks one that’s not all falsetto. Oh well, even if he does, I will love it anyway, just b/c it’s my homeskillet singing it. :)

About the Leno appearance. That is interesting. It’s a little hard to pull off the group interview when you have the host/Jay and all of the Top 3 together; and I thought it went smoothly. B, M, J all looked quite at ease. Blake tucking his leg to the side is kind of cute. I’m glad that Taylor is finally performing Heaven Knows on a TV appearance. It fits his groove, being an uptempo rhythymic song. It is speculated that HK was Taylor’s choice of a first single from the major label’s album. I had picked it to be second single after Dream Myself Awake. Oh, well, he has finally has a very good single released out.
Maroon 5 is one band I have been hearing a lot on the Hot AC station (and should I venture into hearing Top 40 radio.) It fits Blake’s sound and style, so things look bright tonight.
