It’s funny that I expected today to be a difficult day for the fangirl in me just waiting, waiting, waiting for Thursday and a chance to see Blake on The View. Instead it’s been an amazing day with the People clip of our sexy boy followed by all of the laugh out loud, fun and fabulous commentary! This afternoon I went out for a horseback ride, ran to yoga class, came home all sweaty and sat down at my computer to see what’s up with Team Plaid and what did I find? Posts from new folks and regulars and this feeling of utter JOY running through it all! We’re Blakeholics! We’re all loving it! Karen, you wrote my story and totally cracked me up! lmao

I started liking Blake when he sang SOWK even though I’ve never been a fan of beatboxing. I liked his voice all through the show and of course his performances but now can understand all of the fangirly stuff. He really is something.

I think Carinogens is more broad than just smoking. He probably includes other drugs as well.
Butet - “Carcinogens” are cancer causing agents. The general reference would include any type of smoking and also chewing tobacco. Hope that helps to clarify.

The People behind-the-scenes features are great. With this bachelor issue, the year is gonna change up for Blake.
I was disappointed that Blake didn’t get more coverage in the magazine but I notice that he’s just one of a few that actually got a video clip and I LOVED THAT. I’m hoping that his making the Hottest Bachelors list will lead to some more press for our boy. I’m torn between wanting him to have a life of his own, and my selifishly wanting MORE of him! I guess he’d probably have to drive around drunk, shave his head, and puke at a nightclub to get that constant media coverage as that’s where it seems to be aimed these days. Not much chance of that happening even if he was downright cruel to Aunt Bessie and Auntie Mae in Vegas;).

Okay, I don’t feel too bad. I am 57 and I have Blake’s picture as my backgroun on my computer. My grandson (2) points to it and says “Blake.” Yes, even us more mature women can appreciate Blake. I am positively addicted to anything Blake. Always looking on the WWW. I am even anxious about whether he’ll get signed on with a recording contract. Yes, for those “naysayers” it’s not just the pre-teens who voted for him. I voted straight for 2 hours very time. My kids think I am sick. Too bad…I like him & his style of music and I think he’s very creative. I am having AI withdrawals now.
reinharv, Don’t feel like the lone ranger - I’m 53 and appreciate Blake every bit as much as you do. I also voted the entire 2 (or sometimes 4)hours. My teenage daughter thinks I’m crazy. I was very excited the other day because I bought my plaid capris and my Navy shirt to wear to the concert!! I am having serious AI withdrawls - that’s why I love Team Plaid! At least I can get a little “fix”.
