MTV recently visited Blake on the set of his “Break Anotha” music video shoot and chatted with him about Audio Daydream. So what did he have to say? “It’s my new genre I made up. I call it 2080, because it’s a mix of all the great pop music that’s inspired me.” Watch the video below and find out more, plus check out Blake in action as he films his music vid!
Blake elaborated to MTV about the video’s concept…
It’s hard to describe, but you know how when you open Rorschach inkblot tests, how they have two different sides? It’s going to be like that. There’s going to be, like, ink and water, and different effects behind me that come in.
So it’s basically Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy” meets Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, y/n? To read the full article, click here!

Thx speakergirl! That in-the-studio video is just delish. I get such a huge kick whenever we get to see B in the creative process and this time with Sawka! and BT!!! Yum :)
Jenlar is my hero!
I wanted to post this here so that everyone will see it! If you go to Blake’s page, there is now a graphic with the same pic from BA at I-tunes that you can now click on that will take you direcly to i-Tunes to purchase BA and not only that, you can now purchase a ringtone from his page as well!
Blake put the video that Cisco did on his myspace, and he added a buy Break Anotha site, along with a ringtone:)
Anne,
You must have noticed that about the same time I did! LOL
That vid seriously makes every cell in my body grin in antici-pation for ADD! Plus, it’s made of 100% pure love…
Oh, and KJ is a freakin’ genius with the trap set in front of him. I seriously hope that working on Blake’s CD will open doors for him, and the rest of the guys in the band as well, because they all deserve to work with the absolute best artists in the world! (And they haven’t started out too shabby with Blake!) ;-)
Oh! MTV.ca ran a little blurb on Blake::
BShorty & KJ & BT = art dork love! :)
That little brainstorming session was pretty rad. It also illustrates that Blake is fun to work with in the studio, and might be why Clive said everyone “had a ball” making the album.
Guys, here is a MS bulletin from Blake:
Awwwww. How sweet. We have to keep requesting and supporting him, BA has to go up on I-Tunes over the next couple of weeks.
I want him to be successful so bad! He deserves it so much.
Well, B has added the i-tunes link on his page now and as many fans visit his page everyday, I have a feeling it might start slowly climbing up now.
Oh, Bob Bobberson, how do I love thee…let me count the ways…
HAHAHAHA! That was too much!
After you watch & comment at youtube *and* you comment Cisco at myspace, get a copy for your ipod here:

Maracaibo - I posted in a separate thread that two stations in my area played it tonight. Now, one station was at my request, lol. So, this is great!
Oh, that Bulletin! *hearts him with pink puffy hearts*
Why does he make me feel like Sally from the Peanuts cartoons?
*sigh*
SO nice. Good manners really are hot, no?? Happy Thanksgiving,to him too! MS is like…Wow.
2080’s made up rom dj 4 color zach, dj scene, and a promotinal group called soul gorilla… they have been throwin a party every wed. night at war room since spring of 07… so get it right blake YOU ARE A BITER!!!
Blake Lewis did NOT come up with the name 2080. Soul Gorilla, a production and marketing group based in Seattle, came up with that name and idea last Spring. DJ Scene, 4ColorZack and Soul Gorilla have also been throwing a party under the same name every Wednesday @ the War Room. Lastly, DJ Scene even released a 2080s album a few months back. You should check it out. Blake Lewis definitely should NOT be credited with creating a “NEW” genre when other people here in Seattle were the first to come out with it.
Oh gimme a break.
