I want this Top Three to live up to last year’s feisty troika of Melinda Doolittle, Blake Lewis, and Jordin Sparks. Simon keeps saying this is the best season ever; then why did last season — nobody’s favorite — have more momentum at this juncture? Maybe it was because LaKisha Jones, last year’s fourth-placed Idol, actually had the guts, knowledge and universe-given gifts to scare her competition into getting better every week. She never acted sheepish. She didn’t know the meaning of the word.

in what way is that helping blake at all if you do that??? Thats ridiculous, oh yes, everyone go around the board and say one nice thing about him haha.. I’m sorry but people have to watch and enjoy the performance themselves in order to be sold on it.

Earlier I had tried to call my local station to request Blake but did not get through. About five minutes ago (Hours later) I pushed redial to call someone else when my local station picked up right away. I was confused due to it not being who I was trying to call but immediately my mind went to work and I was like “DO you have the new song by Blake Lewis, How Many Words” the DJ was like “That’s an awesome song. You Liking it?” still kinda caught off guard I was like “Yeah I love it. It’s hot.”
He said he’d check and see and definitely try to play it if he could.

Weird eh? I promote Blake at the weirdest times.

Oh, and I definitely miss last season. :( I was thinking back to this time last year. Even though I feel Bon Jovi night belonged to Blake, almost everyone else was also great. Loved Lakisha, Phil, and Melinda. Season 6 is underrated and unfairly panned.

I was already sold on Blake, but this just blew me away.

M4M–SO much word. ITA, and while I really loved S5, S6 was really the one that set the standards for all to follow. No wonder Paula and Randy are disappointed with some of the attempts at “originality”.

I agree with what you said, but I think Joyce was referring to putting comments about Blake’s CD was out, and that it is good etc.

I think leaving a message about the CD is a great idea, because some people may not know he has a CD out. And if they like the performance on YouTube, that may spur them on to buy the CD.

We are losing our foothold there in that beautiful territory of satellite radio. There has not been a spin since 4/28 7:23am, and that is not good. We need to try and hold onto this, somehow.

Also, South African radio stations have been playing the song. A second radio station popped up on yes.com overnight. Kind of interesting.

Also, I remember how people kept saying he wouldn’t be able to handle a Bon Jovi song vocally, and he kept the big belty chorus and nailed it.

I personally think that he has a better range then people give him credit for and can “belt it out” but just choses not to most of the time.
He did get second place in a singing competion and has toured the world with his voice when he was at school before he started beatboxing, so he does have the ablity to sing contrary to popular belief.

I’ve heard many people do the scratching and I really think B is the best I’ve heard with that. He isn’t the best beatboxing by far, though he is really good at it. His speed is awesome in my opinion. I just don’t like when he gets the nasally sounds in his boxing, he needs to clean that up a bit.

The confusion is that B combines them often, which isn’t uncommon.

So I looked at the link that Pam provided for the HMW remix. What exactly does that mean? There will be 5 different versions of HMW? And each one will have a different kind of beat to it?

More good news….Add WXXL AND WXAJ to the Mediabase requests that you are making…along with XM. They each played the song during the last two hours and I don’t remember seeing them before. One is in Florida and the other in Illinois.

pretty much that. There are some pretty well know names on that list so it should be good. These are mixes that will take the song to another level…mostly club playing and hopefully that will help sales of the single and CD.
