Yes… definitely Prince, too, pj. I’ve had to watch it a few more times since I couldn’t concentrate the first time. I wanted to hear what B was saying/hear what was playing in the background/stare at B all at the same time and it was nothing but fail. Happy fail, but still fail :)

Here is something else you might not have noticed watching the trailer. Donna All City from TWOP just pointed out something. Remember Sarah talking about in the other thread about Josh Hodge and the song “Know My Name”? Well, if you go back and listen to this song really close as she pointed out, you can hear the words know my name.

OKay, having watched the trailer 527 times….and I STILL cannot stop looking-at him/listening-to him talk…I can only say my feeling about the background song is very MJ-ish and hooky.:-)

It sounds like three different songs are previewed in the trailer. “Know My Name”, I’m pretty sure the in the beginning is called “Give In” and then something being played at the end.
It definitely sounds like 3 different tracks with the middle being “Know My Name”

The song in the background is perfect for his first single,if it is. I can hear him singing ” I want you to know my name, I want you to know my name.” It is just a matter of time and a whole lot more people will know his name!! Sounds like Arista made a last minute decision and is now sending the song to radio. If the song is being sent out with a press release to the media that’s a good sign.

I was sort of confused when Ken Barnes gave 10/30 as the release date, but I think it’s a great sign too and a good marketing decision IMO
Just to be clear I had originally heard it was going out to radio early November, but they obviously moved up the drop date.

I just checked out the American Idol site and they are using the end of the video as Blake’s trailer. Its pretty cool. I haven’t seen a trailer for the past idols on the AI site. Just videos of them singing or talking. I bet Blake’s friends made it (Cisco).
